700 motor
Hi again
Glad to see you are getting good advice. You mentioned that you have the 9.6 motor. If you went to the 700sc(sold here at Offshore) ,you could gain five or more mph. If you intended to race you would have to change the motor to have a chance. The 9.6s are dogs with 12 cells.

Cooling a 700
The tubes are good. The water jacket is good too,if you have room around the motor for it. Not every mount will allow for that.

I'll try to get some photos for you soon.
I like to use a generous amount heat transfer paste (from an electronics store) when mounting cooling coils. Clean the excess from the outside with denatured alcohol. It looks super-sanitary if you use some large shrink-tube over the coils when it is all assembled.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

Here's a couple of motors with coolinng coils. The S700 in the "Systems" is wrapped with Kapton tape (I didn't have any large enough shrink tube). The one in the rigger has clear shrink tube on it.A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolvesComment

Motor angle
This may be difficult to make changes to,but you really need to angle your motor down. You have a way too sharp of a curve in your flex cable. Also as your power increases ,details make big differences . The flex cable in your boat needs support. It looks like its completely unsupported inside the boat. That teflon tube it runs in will not support it by itself. Under enough power the flex will try to knot up.
