The Navigator boat the links are for, is a dual tunnel like your sketches. That's what I thought you wanted.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Aaah! I see.
It will be an interesting build. I'm looking forward to it. I tend to like the different & experimental side of this hobby.
Cheers.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I know there were some of these made as rc, they used to race a modvp class at the world tunnel champs in Charleston SC. The main one I remember was Mark Poole. Mark is still active on intlwater if you want to look him up he goes by Mark Poole ModVP.Last edited by J Lee; 07-30-2015, 03:18 PM.Comment

Marc's boat is basically a smaller version of the picture above. He just spent a day at my house and bought the nitro stuff I had. We meet at the International outboard grad prix races in 1988 Augusta Georgia his model is like the one I had at the races.Comment

I thought about this project for a long time, and now, i decided to go with my Pursuit to do the project. The hull is starting to show some stress cracks along the sides. It will be the occasion to fix the cracks and start building a new kind of monster!
I will use:
-T180 esc
-sss motor 1620kv
-x440/3 or 36mm 3 blades
-don't know how many cell i will run yet.
I don't know how fast the project will progress, but i expect the boat to touch the water at the beginning of the 2016 season. There is only 6 weeks left to the boating season here in Québec, so i don't expect to finish the boat this season.
To be continued...!Comment

Your setup sounds like a solid one! What prop?
I marked the hull where i want to cut it, but i don't know if i should keep the strakes. Do you think i should keep them or just get rid of them?IMG_20150830_100441.jpgIMG_20150830_100534.jpgComment
