Need info on Deep-V tunnel hull.

Hi everyone! I'm searching for any information on the V tunnel hull. I looked all over the internet, this forum, rcgroup forum, but nothing. What can you tell me about this hull type. Is there a hull like that made for rc boat? I wish to start a build with this hull type.

    Thank you!

You mean like a flats boat? Where there's a tunnel that start about mid way down the hull to allow the prop to be raised up?

Yeah, I cannot think of any ever done. Very interesting design. Bet it would be great in a chop. I vote YES, build it! But I like experiments, LOL.

I can try to put something together! What hull do you think would do good? Pursuit, Cyberstrom... or any other nice hull in the 32" range. I'm not guarantying any good results, but it could be fun to do and see running!

After i looked at some pictures of this design, i think a shallow-V may be more suited for that kind of modifications. What do you think? Also, i thought of using the new TFL drive. It looks cool, and there is less hardware to attach to the transom.

I was going to post last night but fell asleep. I think you are on the right track. I have been trying to think of a shallower V hull and it is on the forefront of the brain but won't come to me. It will!

What would be a good shallow-V hull to start with? i'm unfamiliar with that type of hull model. I don't know any hull name in that design.

I wonder if it may be easier to start from scratch? Or what about a jet boat hull? Aren't they a more shallow v

Probably starting from scratch would be the best way to do it, but my skills in FG are BIG 0! For me, i think it would be easier to modify an existing hull than creating one... Jet boat hull...? Do they come in 32" long (+/-)? Is there a model looking as good as a mono hull? I don't know nothing about jet boats... Are they good for high speed, handling?

Here's a "mono-cat" I built for a customer several years ago. Mono in front, cat in back. The hull came from Viet Nam. It definitely was a head-scratcher

How about an sv27 hull? They have a fairly shallow v ?

I can't find it on aquacraft site. Is it still made? Is it FG hull?
