Oh gosh. This makes me sick...

Like the others have said, take a few days off. Well, after you try to get her back...

Head up! It will all work out.

Sucks man. Hard to swallow a lost after putting a ton of work into it. It's often the crash that doesn't look that bad that does the most damage, especially if the boat hits just once and takes all that energy in one shot instead of skipping a few times. At least it wan't a twin, almost twice the investment gone (trying to find an upside, sorry).

Guys I need some more ideas. There nothing magnetic on the boat except the prop shaft. I don't think that will be strong enough pull. The motor is a no go. Magnet doesn't stick to it (have a motor like it in another build I'm doing) screws are all stainless. Steering rod is stainless. Ideas? Im about to head out and get the fish finder and whatever else I may need. I'll be checking back often...

Me and Keith were just texting about that. It was a very short flight and I guess it hit hard. Basically it blew over and then stuffed in a very short distance. Didn't seem like a hard hit tho. I'm gonna try to recover it today if I can.

Nice. What you didn't want to take a chance on the one from Russia that said for parts only lol. I actually had one on top and one inside, because I wanted to compare them. I got a FG hatch, and reinforced with kevlar cloth, on the first 7s run both units were spot on at 94.3mph.

I had a wire leash on it, but it broke, that is the last one going on top.

If it’s nogo with the driver folks, I would try and row out << Barrow Valco boat not a rubber boat. Use a fishing pole with gang tree of treble hooks << looks like a metal coat hanger with a bunch hooks start casting. Diver still best bet .

Maybe it is not enough, but if you manage to catch it with a magnet atached to a rope, and then, make a big hook along the rope and grab it, a do similar when mi fishing line get caught on something.

                        Hope it helps a bit!

Went out and tried snagging it. No luck. Went to several sporting goods stores and no one had a portable one. So I'm on the fence if I want to spend $130 for one or not. The water was 6ft to 11ft deep in this area. I have a feeling that hiring a diver would be a waste of time because the water is so murky that you can't see 1ft in front of your face. I guess I need to mull over this a bit. The fish finder thing seems like it may not fair well because the shapes I've seen don't look quite accurate. Anyone ever actually tried this? Sounds like a good idea but I dunno.

Actually, i would try the fishing sonar,They are pretty precise things... just my 2 cents.

Anyway you don't have much more to lose, at this point.

If it's around 11 feet, get a telescoping pole like one used at swimming pools for scooping leaves. Extend the pole all the way and poke around. You should feel the difference between soft mud and the hard boat.
Home Depot 16 foot pole: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Pool-Shop...1201/100141787

Get a leaf rake attachment for the pole, you might be able to scoop the boat out.

It doesn't exactly help that the boat is black, that will certainly make it difficult for a diver to find, but with a good underwater flashlight would it even be feasible?
FWIW, when I lost my Sniper, I was snorkeling around looking, once I got into 5-6' of water I couldn't see bottom because it was so murky, just before I gave up, I noticed that a little further out it into 7-8' was actually easier to see the bottom because there was less turbulence down low I guess. I ended up finding it there. I would at least stick your face in with a mask and snorkel, maybe even with an underwater flashlight, it's a big difference than trying to look through the glare of the surface.
