    My Rivercat sank :(

I'm standing at the edge of the lake right now about in tears. I made three passes (made a new best on 5s) and on the third pass I tried it on 6s. It flipped and did something it never did before. Only showed the tips. I knew that wast good because that means the hull broke. I tried to get the recovery after it but it kept getting lower and lower. Then I couldn't see it anymore. My son is in a raft out there right now trying to find it but I know it's gone. I think I'm putting all my stuff up for sale and calling it quits. I may keep one or two boats but at this point I dunno. I'm so bummed right now.

Did it not have floatation? Think the hatch broke off?

To be honest (and this reminds me of something Keith Bradly told me a couple weeks ago) it wasn't even a hard hit. Well it didn't seem like it anyway. I had the sponsons and Tunnel filled as much as I could with foam. I think the hull must have broke. The hatch could have broke though. It was thin fiberglass and I should have inlaid it. I had bought some black Fiberglass to do it but the fiberglass I bought was too rigid to conform to the curves. My fault I didn't reorder some. Two blows like this in one is pretty hard to swallow. Not to mention I lost a lehner motor and mom Esc not long ago. At this point I dunno what to do. I do have another hull but I dunno if I'm just gonna sell it all or continue on. I dunno.

Thanks, this just hurts pretty badly to be honest. I put a lot of time and money in that boat. And it's gone. Just like that. Just hard to deal with.

Remember the prop you just sent back to me? It's gone too. It did pick up just a little on 5s too.

Travis, I am sorry for your loss. At the end of the day you have lost a lot of $ and something you like. Take a few weeks off (or a "season").

Don't sell it off (if you do you have my number... Lol)
Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

time to get a high power waterproof lantern & go snorkeling after it, at that depth it'll be a fairly easy dive. you could also rent a couple "spare air" cans to make it easier.

Man I dunno. This water is almost like chocolate milk and has water moccasins in it. Not sure if it's worth it. I'm sure everything is ruined anyway by the time I could get to it.

Omg! I just realized what I lost. That custom adjustable strut that took me a few days to machine. Gone. Ugh.
