    Can i fix this?

Hi, my boat went submarine and hit the bottom of the river. When it came back up to the surface, i noticed some damages on the nose of the boat. Can this be fixed?

I had a DF 45 Sniper that was damaged during shipment and had the exact issue. You need to clean it first no doubt.Get rid of any loose FG chunks might be still on the tip. Carefully check if there is separation between the upper and lower hull. Need to make sure any structural issues are addressed first. I use either CA (medium) or epoxy, carefully observe that it gets dripped into the cracks.
I "nursed" it back in a gradual process. I used Finishing epoxy mixed with West System's 404 filler and little by little built it up and sanded back to shape. Not perfect but worked. I am sure there are better ways to fix this kind of damage but that was my approach .
There is one other possibility: use West Marine's http://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-m...2-oz--13967443
This is much easier to sand and shape, but the hardened result is not nearly as tough as the way with epoxy mixed with filler. This stuff works good on a flat surface, not 100% sure how it will withstand the daily usages especially on a tip at the bow. However, my method was a major PITA and took me two weeks to shape it back.
You should get some orange paint to cover the tip, real life race boats sometimes have the tips in orange for a reason: the sunken boat usually have the tip above water and orange is the best color for eyes to see.

Thanks tlandauer, i'll try the epoxy method, as i already have some under hand! But some thing is catching my mind, i think the failsafe did not work properly, the motor was running at full rpm while underwater... you can see it traveling underwater in the vid. Is there a way to test the fail safe on the tactik tr324 rx model?

Sorry, i have no knowledge of that. I wish I can tell you. All my accidents have been with Tactic, I have a "Bermuda Triangle" on my lake and whenever I forgot and run into that area the steering would not work but the motor runs full tilt, so I don't know at that moment that the radio is actually not in communication with the boat. Every time I end up beaching my boats. Yeah, come to think of it, there were OTHER Repairs on the tips of my boats as well, ......
May be somebody would chime in?

                            Say, that looks fantastic!
Happy boating tomorrow and have Fun.
Is your lake always that choppy? Watch out because the only time my DF26 sub marines is in similar situation. ( with a fast motor and a moderate sized prop)
Ultimately there may be micro amount of adjustments needed with your set up. Pick a spot that where it is less rocky in the bottom if possible when you test your props!

No, it is not always that choppy, today was kind of crazy... There was a thunderstorm a few moments later. Actually, the rocks are very near shore, i think the boat got damaged just before it surfaced. You can see it, in the vid, hitting the rock underwater, and then, the transom reappeared.
