I believe that you will find that the GP265 is very easy and a quick build overall. It is also much easier to build square and true than a lot of other models I've encountered. You're going to love that model. Which canopy did you opt for, if you don't mind me asking?

i'm not to worried about building this kit. lack of build time is more my problem although i will be asking paul for a hand if / when i do an 1/8 scale but that will be more to do will the sheeting of it.
i also got the kit with the prototype cowl. if you have any setup tips your willing to share i'm all ears.

I was running on 2s and very high amps. I believe you were planning to run 4s and I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Be sure to contact me before you choose the motor location as it can limit placement of lipos for the CG.

The planned setup is Proboat 45amp esc and Proboat 36/30 1500 kv motor on 4s1p. Our rules limit us to 1p.
I'm currently running on a 3000ma battery ( current boat is to small to fit anything larger in) with no run time issues.

I must admit that for its first run on Sunday, that boat of Trevs' was blisteringly fast. I'm just mad that I didn't get a decent video of it. But here's a pic of it when she first hit the water.

              The ML Boatworks 'Executone' kit.
I only built the hull for Trev. He got it fitted out & painted.
