My guess is it is meant to be offset otherwise you would notice a patch where it was altered and that it just needs straightening so it is 90deg to the bottom of the hull.

I think the rudder block is giving the illusion that the strut is offset, when in fact its centered.

I also thought it was done on purpose.

My head and eyes hurt, staring at it clearly tells me that the blade is not centered, unless the rudder block is not centered. This reminds me of looking at the transom of my H&M Intruder S where the line between the upper and lower hull is leveled and the only part that is not is the floor line. It took me a few weeks to learn to look at the rudder and not think it is not set perpendicular to the floor. Now my eyes are trained to look at it "correctly" and I no longer get dizzy.
Kind of like that "Un learning to ride a bike" thread.........

The story is every thing was set that way from factory. The motor is offset along with the drive to counter the boats natural tourq steer to starboard( right). The boat runs straight and ill post a pic of tab after i run today

so was the strut not meant to be 90 deg to the bottom of the boat?

I still have the curiosity as why the motor is off set to the port side ( as in picture 2, post #1) , I thought for CCW props it should be set to starboard as mentioned above?
I guess I still have the "vertigo" after all this time, lol....
