I refuse to use UPS. FedEx is best for bigger boxes.

The part. Is a wedge that fills in the rear of the tunnel. Like a big trim tab.

How do I file a claim with ups? Or does the shipper have to? The strut does appear to have a slight bend in it, or should it Tweek it back centerline? To have it repaired it would have a long trip back to toysport. Would ups cover the cost in the repair bill? It's all factory installed hardware.

Gus, I don't know about UPS, but I had a hull shipped via Singapore from China Post, (TFL Popeye hydro) and the hull was crushed in transit, it actually was damaged here in the US from the Point Of Entry. Since it was shipped from China Post, USPS was supposed to be responsible. They had me taken a bunch of pictures and then fill out forms, in the end Singapore picked up the tab, it refunded 80% of the shipping but won't cover actually cost of damage. TFL was very kind and basically offered me another hull which I declined.
Anyway, at the most I think they will cover the shipping, but don't expect anything meaningful coverage.
The way I see it is that you need to ask Toy Sport if the metal can be bend back, you don't want to break it if it is brittle metal. Shipping back will be tremendously costly to you, I really don't think UPS will honor that.
I could be wrong, but I hate to see you get frustrated and disappointed in the process.
I had to show them the damaged box in addition to the pictures which I took upon openning the box.

Did your shipper ( seller) buy insurance? That will determine how much you will get back. I forgot to mention, USPS did say that they could refund, but they wanted the hull which I said no thanks because I knew I could fix it which was exactly what I did.
TFL still has the money they got from Singapore and they want me to order something and use my credit, lol.......

lol... I can see the casings, on my phone they looked like bullet plugs......
Still, forgive me for pestering you: what is the fourth photo? Inside your boat? I am at a lost...... Upside down, showing where the strut is embedded on to the floor with epoxy?
I still think the strut is not set centered and I don't think it was caused by mishandling from shipping. Did you ask the maker about that?
I understand your frustration and I apologize in advance if all this is making you more up set, I wouldn't go any further.
I sincerely hope you will sort it out. The way you trued your Mean Machine I have no doubt that you will get where you want with this boat, although it may require more patience on your part.
                        Good Luck my friend.

You are correct the strut is embedded to the bottom of the hull. And non adjustable. Toysport is sending the wedge do we shall see. I shot the box not the boat. But got pics just in case there is a claim. The seller hasnt responded to my last email stating I wasnt happy these issues were not disclosed before the funds transfer. I probly would have still bought the boat but at least of had a heads up. Should I mabe go the paypal route?

I have no first hand experience with filing PayPal dispute. I know that it takes time for the process to go thru its steps.
This looks as though it was done ( the off center problem) from the get go, I suspect that in the larger picture it doesn't affect too much the boat's performance. The important thing is that the strut is set at 0* in terms of longitudinal orientation.
The only way is to redo it by heating the strut to the point where you can pull the thing out from the molten epoxy, then re-slot the hull and reset it, but that affects the stuffing tube as well. Not recommending it by any means.
From the short blips of your video, I have a feeling that once you get your wedge, things will improve......
Buying things here always comes with a possibility that you don't get what you expect 100%, it works both ways , can be a good surprise or a disappointing experience.
Not trying to stir things up but as you probably know by now, it is what it is.

Can't you bend the strut back straight by hand?

This would be the most logical thing to do. My puzzlement is that the strut blade is not only not perpendicular to the floor , it's set off the center.
