First picture showed not only the strut is bent, but it might have been off set on purpose to counter torque? It doesn't seem to exit the hull dead center.....
Could be just an optical illusion from camera lenses.Last edited by tlandauer; 04-24-2015, 10:37 PM.Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

I have not dealt with UPS, so I can't say anything, sorry.
For a CCW spinning prop, my understanding is that it should be off set to the other side and this is done to monos, like Proboat's IM31, you can see that from the pictures in plain day light. May be it was meant for a CW prop?
I don't like to speculate.Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

Yah i dont know. I guess ill just try and run it. I sent an email to toysport with the pictures. I hope they give some insight. I really hope i dont have to pull everything apart and reconfigure with a different style strut.Comment

Ran top speed at 46.3 mph bounces at low speeds. Launches out of the water like a banditComment

yeah, something isnt right with it, its porpoising heavily and that means the trim is off. if there is a way to adjust that, I would, and send this video to toysport as well.Comment

This, may be is a result of the design of the rear of the tunnel. Look at the sweeping up of the bottom, it is the "Biggest Rocker" and when the boat is not fully on plane and aired out, the water interacts with this area (the rocker) , then what you get is the porpoising.
Try to gradually apply throttle to full steam, it needs to air out and be on the sponson ride pads, when you slow down, the cycle begins and as the porpoising gets into a rhythm, everything gets worse. I am not saying that this is normal (or not)-------I don't have this boat, as I said earlier, don't like to speculate, but I have seen modification done to this area where a sheet of plastic is placed over this area and the angle is reduced.
It is hard to say since your strut looks a bit off, how much THAT is playing ( or not) a role in this behavior is also a consideration.Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

exactly, that is why I suggested sending the video to the manufacture and make sure its doing it by design, or if there really is something offline.Comment

You can search the name of PiroSteel, he is the maker and recently been on the Forum.

UPS, I hate UPS.... The first hull was chipped. The second (Keith double boxed it this time) and the box had a Gaping hole.
Next time I ship a boat, it will be a heavy duty box.....
What I think of UPS:
To get back to your topic.... Yep, that doesn't look normal.... It might though, ToySPort has some different designs and they seems beneficial. Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!
