Your video looks fantastic, as i said to you, I am jealous! lol...
I agree that the condition was different and one can't judge the speed by one or just a few passes. Don't think you would lose speed because of the scuffing.
As long as you think it rides better , that's what matters.

Well today i ran the boat. Only made 49 but one of the packs got loose in the hull and unpluged it self. I did pur a stright edge on the pads, i noticed i rolled the ends ever so slightly. Should i fill in with marine tex and re square? Also the rear pad is higher then the center pad with the boat up right, it seams to make it run flatter, should i build up the entire pad? I have noted that i should have left this thing alone, but i guess thats part of the hobby

In your case it is just to sq. the bottom so it is flat against the surface. The angle to the transom and tunnel should be kept sharp.

How much profile did you change? If you didn't , leave it alone, these ride pads are not the same "height". Place your boat on a glass top, check for mirror image of profile between port and star board sponson ride pads. I thought initially your "slower" speed had nothing to do with your sanding, may be you did a bit more later which I didn't know.
Very Few had mentioned the need to blue print this hull. Scuffing is actually a different matter, the scuffed surface allows water to break loose and ''theoretically'' giving a bit more "free" speed.
Blue printing or truing is to correct and improve, the most often mentioned example is the Miss Geico hull where there are unevenness on the ride pads and the non 90* from the last ride pad heels .
I also did a job on a mono where in its factory condition it will barrel role and flip. Once trued the boat runs great, the improvement was so drastic that I was pleasant shocked.

For some reason I couldn't get the left pad to do what I wanted so I just put extra. I will have a lot of sanding to do tomorrow.

I ran the boat yesterday, my temps are from 70-85 degrees and that was after several nonstop full speed straight always. Are we thinking x646?
