I'm no mathematician tho.... maybe I'm wrong. I suppose it is, but why use it when measuring something? i understand if you're counting apples or something ... but 1/8's, 16's, 32's, or 64's weren't accurate enough? 4/5's is essentially what 7/16's? sorry for the rant here... but its just so vexing to me lol
is there even such a thing as a ruler that measures 5th's? I'm sure it was a type-o btw. i just like typing....
    lower your rudder to start
4/5 would be extremely close to 3/4 but .050 larger.

I have managed to adjust the rudder mounting down and I have now got approximately 2 inches between the bottom of the keel and the bottom of the rudder blade. Lets hope its enough as it can go no further otherwise the rudder mount will hit the stinger mounts.

For some peoples information, if you come from a family of five as I do, then a fifths are very useful, especially when dividing an apple pie.

          Many thanks for the replies.

Glad you are able to adjust your rudder. I love the look of this hull. Your build is great!
On a separate note, been in this great country for 35 years, one thing I can't do is measure with the Imperial system. I still find it easier to read all my measurements with centimeters and millimeters.

I watched your video. I only saw it spin out once, (Could have been more times I have ADD) the only time I have had this happen I had to roll in to the throttle much slower. How big is the servo had how much voltage to it? I was thinking power drop too could cause it. Or RF noise. Just my thoughts.

Luck, not everybody is from your part of the world. Metric isn't king everywhere.

Ok... I guess we're gonna drag this one out.

4/5 is just odd because he could mean 4/5 of 2" for all I know. 4/5 of what... Why wouldn't you use metric or standard instead of giving a fraction that needs to be translated?
I'm not trying to give the op a hard time, I just really didn't understand the use of the fraction and exactly how much ( in metric or standard) that was...

Again , 4/5 could be out of 700 mm for all I know.
I'm glad you all find it so humorous that I'm too dumb to understand. Thanks

On a seperate note, watching the video, I only saw it get funny once...so it's really hard to tell the issue... A better vid doing it several times would be more helpful.
Let us know how the rudder adjustment works

Post #5 he makes it quite clear what 4/5 is relative to.

what about this video. sounds like a collet slipping to me. the 5692 on 9s at 1090kv is extremely powerful, and you've got two of them. When you nail the throttle that boat should jump out of the water a few feet every time. Can you do this?

I imagine you didn't post this video because clearly the collet let go but that doesn't mean it wasn't tight to begin with, can you solder the end of your flexes? this will ensure it doesn't happen again. If it isn't jumping out of the water like a rocket with drives that long, you're not putting the power down. If the collets check out then escs should be looked at.

Now that i listen closely it sounds like one motor revs up higher than the other, maybe you do have a loose collet as iridebikes247 suggested.............

Deffinetly looks like and sounds like only one prop pulling, check your drives real good.

Sorry about the delay in posting but only just been back to the lake to try some of the modifications suggested by members. Unfortunately still no change. Spins out as soon as it hits the 52kph mark.

I have lowered the rudder. Have the props rotating inwards. Tried it with the turn fins taken off and it was very unstable. Tried lifting and lowering the trim tabs which didnt seem to make any difference. not really sure what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rather than watching all the video it might be quicker to start at around the 3 minutes 30 mark. I had started to lose the plot by then so you can see it spin out several times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR9e1hkAgrE
