How did the twin 1527 motors you ran work out and what hull did you use?

Neu motors are great but if you have the $ and want to go 85+ reliably i say go with a set of lehners. I have tried every tp, leopard, neu, to stand up to a lehner 3040 in a twin cat setup unfortunately never got what i wanted.

going cheap is fine and awesome im all for it for most boats, but if shes sporting super high end parts the lehner is the most logical choice. Although I will say twin 1527s in a 45" boat would work, i ran 1530s in a 54" hull no problem!

As for the walmart comment, anyone else see the ones in 7-11 convenience stores lately, they got 2.4ghz radios i think it says 40mph on the box too...lol

So in a 45" hull on 10s (just because that's what I already have for my 5ive-T) how many amps will that system pull and what props would you use?

It is a very very well built boat! I would recommend kfxguy to anyone who wants a build done.

And I got your message kfxguy, thanks. But for some reason it won't let me respond. Might be my phone. You seem to have more votes then anyone else so far. No offense to any other builders.

Ok. Did you see my question about amp draw? I really want to know what I'm getting into. So much different from the car stuff.

Ok. I don't mean to question you but amp draw would be a big part of a reliable setup correct? How do you size the speed controller and batteries? In my other RCs we try to keep things cool. Does the water cooled boat speed controllers do a much better job of this? And what about motor load? I'm sure different props affect heat too. I only ask because I don't know. With car ESCs there is usually a data log. I assume boat ones are the same. What have you seen with your other builds? Would you test it before shipping it? Thanks I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. By the way, I saw how you seal your hatches. That is an awesome idea. I hate taping the hatch on my Revolt and Lucus boats.

^Chrisg1983 is actually an awesome builder too despite his overuse of exclamation points his boats run hard and never break...ever. There are a lot of good builders here on the forum actually.
