Nevermind, you have $500 + just in motor and ESC, add another $400 for 6S2P 5,000mah battery pack. Oh boy guys now that is fun. Have someone ram you in a heat and it's sinks. Priceless.
Anyhow. that's your chioce. Take that boat to the time trials!!
Hey Steve... Not everyone has the same goals in life... Accept that and move on... You're otherwise bringing a very negative vibe to this board that frankly is getting tiresome...
You've taken a positive thing, like your little project here, and turned it into another bitch-fest because of your negative side-bars aimed at those with different RC boating aspirations than you have...
Just proceed with your project and drop the commentary on what others are doing and perhaps you won't come across like such an angry and bitter person...
Looking forward to seeing how your project comes out. It's good to have a whole range of options...

Your exactly correct. Doug, I am sorry about my remarks. Please start a 1521 1Y
setup thread so Trayoot and others can learn about your setup. I am not interested in what I call the professional ranks but many others are.

What does this have to do with this test??!??
It's already been said a few times.....
LETS TRY TO STAY ON TRACK WITH THIS.
Man, I have A.D.D. and I have an easier time than you do.
Anyway, Since this thread has been jacked. I will be doing a similar test to this shortly. I will start a new thread and give only the results.
I'm sorry but WTF, Steve, where did new forums and all the gibberish come from? You come from left field and it freaks me out....they make drugs for what you have....get some....your life will become calm and you may live longer.
Pretty insulting to throw that BS on this board. Want to recruit to another forum...Then do it on your own time. Steve, from OSE is a very gernerous man to let you put that stuff on here without blocking you....guess that is why I could never own a forum....I would block so many from the BS it would not be funny.
I did not take it as an insult from Steve if you have $500 ESCs in his post anyway. I think the point here was testing cheapo motor and report back.
In reality, the motor is cheap. Sure it will work but these are poorly balanced, cheap wire, and cheap everything else....hey but they have a neat cooling jacket! For smaller rigs this may be an option on 3S max. Small prop, etc.
It is no motor for 4S and 1/12 scale hydros or larger monos. They run hot for a reason...cheap components and very crap magnets. Effiec # are probably a lie as well.
