Travis, a bit off topic here but have you had any probs with loosing sat signal on your garmin 201...I did a serious series of somersaults, tumbles, rolls at very high speed with my Genesis yesterday and my gps unit came out DOA...so now I need another gps...good deal on a garmin 201 on ebay....DJ

I've had three of them. Every one worked flawless. I had one of them over 5 years. Two of them are at the bottom of lakes is why I don't have them anymore lmao!

Travis, exactly the same prob I've had with every etti esc, bad progression in the power curve. It was like they had zero 20% and 100% power nothing in between to ease into a speed run...I finally gave up using them and went to the T180, castles marine and castle plane esc's converted to marine. I going to try a SF in my new design rigger and see how they hold up to high amp spikes. My castle 240 hit 300amp spikes several times yesterday in my Genesis and almost 7000 watts running new prop. Gps broke as stated but we could tell it was a good bit faster than my previous 80mph runs. We are guesstimating mid 90's but I am not claiming that till I gps it or radar gun it. I learned something else too, the transom in the Genesis is WEAK, mine is starting to fracture crack. So back to the bench and more reinforcing for it......Congrats on yet again gaining more speed brother....DJ

Maybe I'll sell this esc. Of course I'll be upfront on how it is....I'm sure on a lower speed setup it'll work fine. Mine...no go and I don't care to get used to it. Guess it's motor changing time....

Maybe you need to get a carbon fiber daytona and start over. The Genesis hulls look pretty flimsy.

Here's my prather prop pass. I like how it drove with the prather 230. It did go slower than the m645, but I didn't move the strut because I forgot tools at home (what a dummy! Lol) o btw, you get to see who I am at the end lol

Mine barely catches signal. Tried it all over town, even out on the real boat.... Just a tiny bit of signal.... Even after battery drain/charge and resets....
These thing will be hitting 90mph soon! Wonder if it will be mine? lol
Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

Yours ought to be quick. If it's faster than mine, I'll be happy and pissed at the same time! Lmao!

I can't tell you how many CC HV240 esc's I burned up running a Prather 240 lol very wise checking temps.

Travis, now thats scary ! ....I was thinking about getting the CF hull ....I really cant complain, It was a really nasty high speed acrobatic crash. I like those prather SS props, yes they are a bit harder to work, but I think worth the effort....I guess on the Garmin it depends on where you live....

I was running a 230....I check temps on every pass. The etti got to 130 with ease. The t 180 never got over 109.....

I bought 1" wide and 3/8" belt sanders.....makes short work of ss props. You gotta go slow tho. The prather is going to have more speed than any other prop I've tried....I'll bet on it....once the Stuy is were it needs to be. This boat is highly sensitive to strut height....1 mm off and I'll lose 5-7mph!

Sean and I both have found that out on our smaller cats, that they are very sensitive to strut adjustment and just a slight size change in props means adjusting the strut accordingly...id like to see more choices in the SS props....DJ

I really want to try a 45mm 3 blade. Or a 45mm with more pitch. Anyone help? Big gap in tne three blade octura offerings. The reason is I don't want to adjust the Dang strut every time I change props. Ugh. I want to be able to throw a m445 on it and cruise if I want.

Maybe add prop resizing to your repitiore Travis. Cut down a 648 to 45mm or a 225 to 45mm. Either will pitch you up a bit. I have stainless 4518's
