does Seaking actually make the 180 or does someone else and Seaking has just come up with their own so they aren't selling them anymore. I run several of the Turnigy T180's and so far they have been bullet proof. I would hate to see these disappear. There are alot of different labels on these ESC's for different manufacturers but who actually makes it.

So far that i know of, they are offered in the following:

      turnigy T-180
      hobbywing seaking 180
atomik 180 (overpriced under this name tho)
      leopard 180

from what i understand, they are all made by hobbywing. Hobbywing used to be not so great but now...they are getting to be one of the best. I have a hobbywing in two of my buggies and i just put one in my rivercat. The throttle response is way better on hobbywing vs the others ive used. The punch is stronger and they run cooler. Overall my opinion is they are really good units.

Kinda a love fest for the T180. Hope the new one is even better. I think I have had only had one T180 fail and it was my fault. The others are still with me and running strong for a long time now.

R2hobbies has been quick to process and ship stuff I ordered in the past. Well, 10 days or so to Canada if you call that quick.

Seems strange that hobbywing doesn't have there new esc's listed on there website. There's nothing under the V3 boat esc heading. Now, R2 Hobbies hasn't exactly been an honourable company and clone and copy or buy copies of other manufacturers product. Seems odd that there the first to list the new esc and have it in stock. I have bought from them in the past with no issue. I got what I paid for:). Just thinking aloud

Revolution shop on ebay which is R2hobbies, has a delivery of July 17 to Aug 8th if you order today. All the other places I found them were mainland China shops to. Might be taking a chance as they will likely be on the slow boat over here!

R2 shows the burst on the 180 at 1080 amps. Yikes.

Wish they didn't change it, if anything should have just given it a face lift or some other bs to "refresh," but why change something that works?

I run 1600kv motors on 6s with red. 57s with seaking 180s, escs are the coolest component in the boat and they have 3 seasons on em. Wish I stocked up on the old ones...

I wonder if one just makes a oil bath enclosure for the old style that it would do the same trick ?.... Glad I still have three old one's lying around with maybe 8 runs on them !

Nothing beats them old-fashioned poisonous high voltage transformer cooling oil.

Pushing beyond 180 is never a good idea. Their is a reason it's rated at 180.

Some of these have already made it to Australia from various suppliers. Build quality looks better than last models. Will be running 2 this weekend, time will tell. Will post results.
