    Maiden voyage.... Check this out!

I have one lightly used fightercat 240a esc for sale. It was used for only about a minute. I ran it on 4s mainly but tried 5s for about 20 seconds and brought it back in (with the recovery lol) I'll sell it really cheap too. Let's say 10 bucks or so. It just needs to find a good home (lmao)

I hope you guys know I'm joking! I took it out for it maiden voyage and evidently I had it over propped. I shoukd have known better when I messed up one of my 2s packs and threw a 3s pack in its place. I place blame on myself, not the esc. I was running a x646/3 prop I cut down about 2mm but I'm sure it was still too much prop. O well.... Live and learn. I was trying to go out on full kill trying to go faster at first than I probably should have.

Btw, the boat is fine. Does not have any burn marks or anything thank goodness.

Wow! I was wondering how the esc was so mangled and the boat is fine. Amazing. Any video of the run? To bad about the esc but good for you on the boat. Lucky boat, unlucky esc!

Always start small and work up Travis. Though I have certainly cooked enough ESC's to know that Methyl Hydrates gets the smoky smell out. LOL

BTW, That was a 646 on the Rivercat? and three blades too? You know those are funny props(646 that is), on my 35"DF with 1717 a 645 is OK but the 646 really wakes it up, and the amps too mind you. Really shouldn't.

Really have to watch the amp load on those ESC's, they used low melting point solder IMO

An x646 is a lot of prop even in 2 blade let alone 3 blade.

I dunno how the boat made it out good. I was surprised lol. I guess I learned me a lesson lol. I'm not stressing over it. Learning curve you know. This other esc I know is a man but I'm going to prop down. I was really hoping g to run on 6s but I guess not. O well.

If you start shopping for another HV ESC, be sure to check out Flier/shenzhen. They make smokin' esc's ......

I'm thinkin the problem was probably the mismatched packs and not the prop.

Never ever run mismatched packs in series or parallel. That's just asking for bad juju.......

No that wasn't it. I had an issue with burning a connection in one of my 2s packs because they have those crappy plug in 4mm connectors...... The plastic was melted. I've run a 3s and 2s in series many times before and not have an issue. The packs are the exact same Mah and c rating. Should not have an issue with that.
