Yes. Give me a little bit. I'll get my son to do it.

I'm of the same opinion. This seems to be a characteristic of some builds that are front-heavy and nose dive under deceleration prior to turning. Also, I'm just guessing here, but that extended offset rudder chingis may have too much flex/bounce back.

Better images. I would leave the skegg. How far off the table is the strut? I have an R42 that if I put the strut up high it has a tendency to drop the front and stuff hard. I actually lowered the strut and it turns great now. (I know it's opposite of what I thought before but I now see the photos.)

Where does it balance? How far from the back of the boat compared to the front?

10" from the bottom edge of the rear of the sponson. Or 22" from the front tip of the boat. If I measure from the transom it is 11 3/4"

BTW, the rudder is 4.5" tall total.

A 4" Speedmaster mini rudder is KNOWN to cause the MM to have spin outs. Those of us who changed to the Speedmaster 21 rudder cured the problem.
As suggested, try a longer rudder, this is a larger hull than the MM.

I guess a need to try a longer rudder. What can I use in the place of this one?

The speed master 21 doesn't look like it will work on my bracket. I was just about to post a thread looking for a longer rudder.

I know, and before you spend any money, can you jerryrig something so your rudder goes deeper into the water?
Didn't you make some aluminum motor mount for your buggy? Can you extend the rudder by adding a piece so the rudder mounts "lower" on the bracket?
                      Just thinking out loud, lol...

I'm just gonna get a longer one. No biggie.

What about how it balances? Good? Bad?

I think your balance is good, I always start at 30% from the back and do adjustments either way.
                          So which rudder would work?

I just purchased a hull from someone who has this one figured out and he told me that if you dont mod the last step build up the front of the step to 2% incline to the rear it will hook terrible. I bought this because of the way the one he built handles. Maybe this is the problem you are having

Well I'm going to try a longer rudder before I even think about sanding on a carbon fiber hull.
