Yes, On two 2s packs ran in series to make 4s 45c 6000mah your boat will run a lot better and faster at about 42mph and about 4 minutes of run time.

Are you using 5.5 bullet connectors on everything in the setup and the lipos,
Also do you have any pictures of you boat setup that you can post ?

If so you can connect them together with out using a harness in the setup.
Read and learn how all this works for your setups.

      http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/lipo.php

And you can also use two 5.5 Y connectors like this for parallel running packs,
They are not to hard to make if you want to.

Get rid of the Deans on the battery connectors.

Yes that is the first thing you want to do,
They are a weak link in your setup and will make it run bad.

Besides using just bullets we been using these from castle... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...as-011-0053-00 I too dislike soldering deans and find these connectors being 6.5mm easier to work with larger gauge wire and easier to connect and disconnect...

How many minutes did you run it for on the two 2s 6000mah pack in series ?

When you charge the 2s packs wright down how many Mah of charge each pack takes,
You want to try and have 20% left in the packs at the end of a full run.

Also you do not need high C rate packs,
30c to 40c is all you really need for that setup like the blue Turnigy 4s 40c 5000mah.
When you jump in to the higher MAH packs like the 8000mah than the prices go's up pretty quick,
In less you find a great deal on them like half price or something.

Also if you are thinking of buying some high dollar cells,
May be you should try these out because I hear lots of good things about them for the money.

Grammar police warning. Lets learn boats and do some English 101 at the same time.
Meant to be educational not condescending
