there are some iffy comments regarding that Aquastar.

theses might be more comparable to Leopard:

Did you try running the boat yet at all with the stock setup yet ?

This is what is in the cat I posted in you build thread.

Just some fuel for thought on your stock setup and what it can do,
If the boat is setup right in the the right hands. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...-1600-kv-on-5s

That looks like a really nice deal if they do not kill you on shipping and handling.

He has no stock of these and will NOT be getting anymore from TFL because I think thats where he got them from.
Great motor but, does not exist.

These are basically SUXFLY brand motors with a different color. They are o.k. but, there are much better choices.

Like I said the best choice is the 4082 - 2200kv Leopard from OSE but, I don't think you will take my advice. You could buy a TP Power motor too. Why not support the guy that makes it possible for you to get answers to your questions? OSE that is...

I tried the leo 4082 and the turnigy 3974 back to back in my genesis 900 cat, the turnigy had more torque and was faster, no joke, that was the only thing I changed.
I found the leo wouldnt swing as much prop as the turnigy motor could and does.... I still run the cheap'o in it now. has run 108kmh on 5s.

Buy once, not twice! we run Leo 4074 and 4082 2000 and 2200kv ...we have been running these on 6S in our pursuit hulls ..great results...ive tried turnigy motors in planes, cars and boats and have had to replace them with something better...OSE and some others, customer service rocks...I wish you luck on getting that from HK. You will get what ya pay for with OSE be it a LEO or TP....DJ

well you may end up having to buy a new motor anyways if those are your plans. the motor may do ok, but really its kind of a junker and may end up failing as you up voltage to it. maybe not tho, but don't be surprised if it goes and takes anything else with it.

you asked for advise on a motor and got a bunch, but instead your going the other way with your decisions. good luck man

You should get another 2s to match the one you have now and run it on 4s,
Than try to get it setup right and check temps on everything.
Also post some vid's so we can see how it is riding in the water,
Than if it is riding good and temps are good you could may be move up to 5s.
By just picking up a 3s pack to go with one of the 2s packs in series for 5s.
