Why would you want to? There is so many choices. Oh to answer the question no you can't. There really is not an alternative anymore. Brushed was a pain in butt. Brushes, Inefficiencies, heat and only one very reliable controller.

Use lipos if you aren't already. Good burst of speed there

        Brushless is well worth it.

Yes. Depends on the motor and the voltage. What did you have in mind?

Howard it's a 15 turn sealed can motor. They say it's about a 2200kv motor but, you can't really give a brushed motor a KV rating, maybe a max voltage rating.

ESC is a 50 amp 6-8 cell. 8 cells is fine but, check temps often.

One upgrade to get more speed is to use a metal prop like Octura or a CNC prop of same size and pitch. The CNC props need little or no sharpening. Stock prop is 34mm so an x435 would work or this 430 x3 blade would work depending on shaft size for prop and with that I am lost??? I have no idea what size prop shaft they used????

Wouldn't 4s be max voltage you want to run in it then?

                6 0r 8 will be a fire no?

Oh I see 6 or 8 Nimh cells.

Which is about equivalent to 2s or 3s lipos.

I run my brushed summit on lipos all the time. Wayyy more power

Dude, get a 3s lipo and a lipo cutoff. Plus a prop, you'll see a good increase in speed
