Well I had fixed the rudder I had just done a pass by with no steering and it really wanted to hook right.
The know it all...

My analysis : The drastically offset rudder slows down the boat's right side allowing the left side to go faster causing veering to the right. ( Imagine coasting straight forward in a rowboat, then letting an oar drag on the right side of the boat. It will steer to the right). Try converting to an inline rudder. Just be careful when accelerating as the prop's effect on the rudder can cause some "tail wag".
Post a side shot of the hardware at sponson level if you could to see where rudder and prop line up.
Also the x447/3 prop that is in the pictures.
Is it sharped and balanced,
If yes by who ?
If was me,
I would put the cells ends in line with the back of the motor, Not the front at the coupler.and.
And the other end of the cells touching the blue noodle inline with each other and try it and see how it ride and handles.
Also than try the cells at the middle of the motor and see how it rides and handles.
You rudder is way offset to the right and I am not sure if that could be adding to some of your problems,
The is how mine is setup and handles pretty good.

The bigger the prop, the more the strut needs to be raised. It's a narrow cat. The larger props cause the port sponson to lift and the starboard to dig, along with the rudder adding to drag on that side.. The boats gonna want to go right. That's why I suggested higher rpm, small prop.Comment

Yea I will swap out motor over winter. Can't run the rudder inline due to prop size right now. Maybe mount rudder on port side?Comment

I should have just got another motor. But got some bad advice the last thread. Too many self proclaimed pros on this website I guess. I'll stick with rumdogs advice from now onComment

Anyway, I did not see ONE person saying that was the "best" way to go with this boat- I saw many of us say "it is not ideal- BUT a bigger prop will help with your lack of speed". I would not call it bad advice, it was just everyone trying to make the best of your current setup. Ideally, more KV, smaller prop would work best- but for what you already had, a bigger prop got you the power you wanted.
I am actually surprised that I am having this issue with a 45mm prop, guess it's the nature of this hull. My other cats are not this sensitive! I kind of wish I went with more KV- I am running 1600 on 6S, BUT I wanted to be able to prop down and run 8S on occassion as well..My favorite search engine http://google.comComment

You have had some pretty big dogs weigh in on this subject and they all offer good advice......I do not like your present strut setup as well and a large prop can open up a can of worms....just my 2 Canadian/Scottish pennies.

No one I the other thread was in any trying to belittle you or sound like a pro. A lot of those guys have already done this. They know what works and what doesn't. If you don't want to take notes, then that's you and your fault if something happens that could have been prevented. Everyone is just here to help. Please don't be disrespectful or start name calling.
I hope to see you get this boat running up to your expectations. I have two of these hulls to build for some friends so I'm just sitting back and taking notes.Comment

Here is a pic of an inline strut on my M1 cat.

I have a inline rudder for it but because prop is so big it would hit rudder bracket. Once I put in new motor I can use a inline rudder with smaller propComment
-
And to clear things up my question was should I get higher kv motor or larger prop. The only person that was clear was rumdog on saying get a new motor. I got more bs about me saying I have a real boat then helping me outComment

Quoted from your first post in this thread : "The rudder is offset any suggestions" I gave you my opinion on why your boat pulls to the right based on my own hands-on experience. Have fun.
