Posted on here a few days ago and caused a pretty big uproar. I have the genesis with the Hk 1050 motor. Well I got the new props and just tried out the 3 blade x447 well it runs like a banshee not too much roll with it but it don't want to run straight. Slow speed it wants to pull left fast it wants to pull right. The rudder is offset any suggestions. I still have a 2 blade x48 x50 and x55 to try out see wich one seems to run best. I will try and GPS a couple runs in the future. Motor was Luke warm esc was pretty cool also. Highest temps were in bullet connectors from esc to motor. Full run 3-4 min wot. Sorry for the uproar
The know it all...

I'm sorry for your issues but I told you I had the same issues when I went with a bigger motor and prop with the genesis. But I did talk to someone else that runs some super fast singles. He said try rolling on the throttle REALLY slow and that might help eliminate the roll.Comment

How do you have the strut set ?
It should be level with the bottom of the sponsons,
If you put the boat on a flat table and just let the prop hang off the edge of it.
Than if it still is prop steering move the strut up 1/16" and see if that help any.
Post some pictures of the boat setup in the hull with the cells in place like RTR and also of the hardware to,
Because your CG may be to far forward or something may be off on the hardware.Comment

I have strut as you stated flat on table I will try raising it I will also try moving batts back a little. I do not know how to upload pictures and I am using a iPhone. I feel like it is always going to want to pull to the right. If so should I set the trim to drive straight when going fast or straight when slow. Or is the problem fixable?Comment

Good to hear the prop has made a difference. I always trim the boat straight at full throttle as there is no point racing with anything less and you really want the boat to go straight at speed, trying to continually correct your course at speed is a recipe for a wipeout! Also not using full throttle is hard work for the esc and can cause overheating issues. If you want to run slow just go back to the smaller prop.NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. As far posting pictures.
You need to have them in you PC and than add them from there to hear,
Using the Image icon next to the Insert video icon at the top right in reply to thread.
Remember this boat hull need to be driven like you are in it,
It like a top fuel rail so you need to drive it like one with your eyes wide open.
The prop also could be modded I think to help stop some of the prop steer,
But I would look in to that down the line with some one that is very good at modding prop.
Fist things first and do the pictures we need to see and a video would be good to.
I set my boats to run straight at top speeds with the trim on the tx,
That makes for better control when the boat is move by things fast.
At low speeds just drive the boat with a little more rudder.
I run my Daytona on 4s2p with a neu 1515 1y 2200kv, SK 180a esc , .187 flex with a fine design offset rudder and strut,
Props I have used are a x442 and m445 and gps at 57 mph with two 4s 30c 5800mah packs.
And about 7 minutes of run time,
I think the hull likes more weight added to it and handles better to.Comment

Post a side shot of the hardware at sponsons level if you could,
To see where rudder and prop line up.
Also the x447/3 prop that is in the pictures.
Is it sharped and balanced,
If yes by who ?
If it was me,
I would put the cells ends in line with the back of the motor, Not the front at the coupler.
And the other end of the cells touching the blue noodle inline with each other and try it and see how it ride and handles.
Also than try the cells at the middle of the motor and see how it rides and handles.
You rudder is way offset to the right and I am not sure if that could be adding to some of your problems,
This is how mine is setup and handles pretty good.

Here's the thing with a cat, the strut should never be below the sponsons, the bigger the prop the higher you raise the strut, is always how I've trimmed my cats, with a 452 on my sprintcat my strut is almost a 1/2 inch above the bottom of the sponsons. with the 447 tru 1/8" above the sonsons to start. We call ourselves the "Q"Comment

I will try messing around wit cog today and strut. I don't think it is rudder because I broke plastic bolt on it at it was not even in the water still pulling to the right the same wayComment

The rudder is what keeps the boat running straight! If it isn't in the water then prop walk will naturally steer the boat to the right. Get the rudder back in the water and run the boat at WOT directly away from you. Use left rudder trim on the transmitter to get the boat running straight.
