It sounds like a few guys are saying sometimes you just get a lemon. And yes the t180 and seaking 180 are the same.

So I have to revive this thread! Check this out my sk180 let out the magic smoke! And I have to say it was in a very dramatic fashion. And this was a dialed in setup that's been ran a ton of times. I have no clue what in the world happened. Just had to kind of laugh.

It's not that big of a prop on a Geico. I ran a x448 D/T with 1800Kv AQ motor & HW120A esc and it was on the edge for heat after 6-7 laps on full course.

Prop hub is level with sponson bottoms. I don't see a 3674 1900kv having a problem with the heat since it's larger and the esc was 180A rating. It's just a bad egg in the batch IMO.

that is way to big for a 29" hull
and it is hard to believe that the 3674 can was pulling this without problems ,1900KV 4s?

the only way you can keep a hull this small with that motor and prop running reliable, save and cool is when you where using only a part of the prop in the water!

where is the point in that?

                  a 48 mm on a 29"hull

the topic starter was asking in another tread ( proboat )about handling problems with this boat , so i don't think we have to go further into using a 48 mm prop on a 29 inch boat

but if you like this , and it works for you ,no problem for me.....

Cheap, small motors become really inefficient when strained. The t180 is a really good esc and holds up better than a lot of the expensive "get what you pay for," escs and I say this after watching a lot of escs burn up. I know very little when it comes to props for the smaller single cats but 48mm sounds really big for that boat. I think if you prop down you'll be good, personally I'd ditch the motor too and get another one say a leopard 4074. Not that you're lacking in the power department sometimes with the power systems from china stuff fries because the quality control is low. I have a lot of leopard motors and for the price you can't beat these things but I know I'll have to change the bearings and stuff to keep them running ok.
