    It actually said, 6s-8s, but In retrospect I think some thing got lost in the translation in the accompanying docs and they meant 2x 3s or 4s. And they added the numbers minus just running a set of the same s rating. I was new enough to boats at that time not to figure the rpms created by my mistake. But as you said even if I had figured it out 4s would have still been too much. It was a nice learning boat for me that taught me a lot and the results of the final build were quite nice. Current boat is a custom zonda with almost the same build only double of everything for the twin powered hull. Incredibly stable boat even at speed.

      cheers for the reply guys..

      If I keep this boat it will be for my 10yr old boy to run with my FE.. a highly modified Genisis

      So 2 x 3S batteries in parallel would be plenty.. one on each side of the hull to balance her out.
