    Budwiser/Trailblazer Select

    image (21).jpgimage (22).jpgimage (23).jpgimage (24).jpg

I need some help..... Lets move past the part where i actually believed the specs on a Chinese bought boat. I ran the advised 6S 4000mh bat configuration (2x 3s 4000mh) and the boat was incredible for 20-30 seconds.... then the smoke/regrets started... lol The ESC was smoking, the engine was too hot to touch, the connectors and batteries where cool.

What i have left is the hull that i love, my upgraded servo / waterproof, the radio upgraded and batteries. Can someone suggest a new engine, ESC, and prop combo that really works and that i wont have to worry about constantly.

This is what i have to work with:

-3S 4000mh 40-50c batteries, and 3S 5000mh 60-135c batteries 2 pair of each. ( have 2S and 4S batteries also all 5000mh but would like to stay in the 3sx2=6s range)
    -5/16 propshaft
    -SR300 or mr200 radio
    -2056 traxxas servo
    -Bud select cat hull

I want to replace the rest: I have looked at the engines and ESC's and props on this sight but i am confused as to what will go together and work right. I did do a search on the hull design i have but found nothing useful.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

This is what was in the boat that failed.

Using a IB3660-07 inrunner brushless motor
    ·KV: 2726
    ·Max speed: 50000rpm
    ·Rotor length: 30mm
    ·Shaft size: Ø5*16mm
    ·Main part size: Ø36*60mm
    4.Using a SC060B speed controller
    ·Constant current: 60A
    ·Burst current(10s):120A
    ·BEC mode: switch
    ·BEC output: 6V/3A
    ·Batteries: Li-Po 2-6 cells/ 6-18 cells Ni-MH
    ·Water Cooling Pipe: Ø5mm
    ·Size: 94*33*18mm

      Hi,
      That sucks.
But way to much kv for a 6s setup,
      How big is the hull L x W x H ?
Also what size prop is on it ?
And how fast do you want it to go and what kind of run time are you looking for ?
      ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

It is 31" long, 9.5" wide, 3.5" deep. It has a stock prop that is this ◆Prop size: D4.5*P1.4 i want to replace that also..... The instructions that come with it say it handles 6-8s... (obviously wrong)

I want it to run in the 50+mph range if possible, and not have to worry about it burning up. Run time... im not sure... as long as reasonably possible with the batteries i already have.

            What's your budget?
For 6s a kv ov around 1300-1500 kv is good. A 4074 sized motor or larger and m445 prop would be the direction I would go

Not worried about money too much but also dont need to buy the most expensive stuff just to have it. So a Leopard 4074 1400Kv motor? and Octura M445 prop?..... what about the ESC? What would the larger motor option be?

                Thank you for helping.

                      Also your prop shaft,
Is it 5/16 or did you mean 3/16 ?
And is this your first FE boat ?

                        ·Shaft size: Ø5*16mm

I have an original SV27 running the UL-1 motor and ESC, a Revolt stock, a Barbwire stock also... but all those are just plug and play.... I've never really had to figure out engine size before. I
'm good at putting it all together just not good at pick what is right.

Well most props that you will use are 3/16 and a up grade to the shaft would be a .187 x 3/16 shaft,
If you want a 6s setup with head room to grow I would go with this set in this Geico.
It is this esc , http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...-seaking-130HV
                            With this motor,http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Inrunner.html
And with that esc it leaves lots of room to grow to higher volt setups down the line.

Geico with 6s setup and room to grow.

This is my modded Mystic running on two 4s packs in parallel and the Keda 4074 2364kv motor is just about max out on 4s.

It must be a joy to run a boat without a smoke trailer..... just ordered the 180 seaking / programming card / Leo 4082 1450kv / m445 prop / and a new 3/16 copper prop sleeve. (did not want to order the engine from hobbyking, shipping takes too long for me in Chicago)

Thank you for all your help.
