Hull is a RCMK Flying Cat...and right now it's missing its hatch

Motors are SSS 4092 2140 kv d-winds. I shortened the shaft about 5-7 mm (along with the extra 5 mm alu plate just beneath the motors) to make them fit. Didn't wanna shorten the motorshaft past the grub/drive dog "area".

      ESC's are T180's

Lipos are four 4S 5000 mAh 20C. It needs a lot off weight in the nose, which all in all makes it pretty steady on choppy water.

Props are TJM 40/3 in the videos, which are the preimer runs (about a month ago)

HOR outboard motor mount is very well made

If you want to use a high RPM and high Power motor like Turniçy http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=11183, there is enough place to use a collet 6mm/ 4,75mm

If you wanna run bigger props you just raise the cavitation plate with washers.

Just be really picky about lubeing the shafts after every session! You can see my oil can-mod in the pictures above
              Hi,

What setup are you running? How many RPM maxi unload?

I have a set of Turnigy class 600 1900kV and 2000 Watts continious.

I will use one outrunner motor with 5S battery, 35000 RPM unload. The problem is motor" s shaft diameter : 6mm., with 3/16" square end flex shaft and 6mm motor shaft to 3/16" flex shaft it will work,

Alfa, have you entirelly read the Znus' post ???

Ok, so I will explain for the newbie you are

The motors are 40mm diameter x 92mm long. and inrunner (SSS 4092 is not a secret code, just the name with the specs).
                The 2140Kv used in 4S 5000mAh means that unload, the motors run at 2140 x 4 x 3.7V = 31672rpm
Propellers are 40mm diameter and 3 blades.

ESC T180 probably means that the Electronic speed controllers are Turnigy 180A.

                You're welcome...

                regards.

Those are big motors with high RPM for an outboard motor mount. I had the Turnigy H37-36 before buying the HOR outboard I didn' t noticed shaft diameter but that will work with a 6mm / 4,75mm collet and flex shaft square end for rthe propeller side.

Alfa. Right now I run both motors in normal rotation. I do have counter rotating flexshafts but I haven't installed them yet.
Right now one motor is on the workbench and I'm waiting for a new brass bushing and propshaft. Must have gotten som dirt (sand) in there because it just "stuck" and took the flexshaft with it in the fall.

Check 00:54. That's one propshaft almost welding itself to the brass bushing. I had to torch and knock the propshaft out with a hammer.

Did you know there's an european TFL (HOR)? http://www.tfl-hobby.de/

MTC have high quality flex shafts but they say 5mm diameter and we need square end 4mm x 4 mm https://www.mtc-powerboat.de/index.p...1&variante=193

I bought Dave Marles flex shaft "Prestwich models" and collet for 6mm motor shaft

Scorpion are very good but the 3026- 1900kV is too small, not enough Watts. I installed a Turnigy H3736-1970kV

                              http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...trsearch=h3736

The motor shaft is 6mm diameter so I use a 3/16" flex shaft with square end for propeller shatt and a collet 6mm ==> 3/16" for motor shaft, there is enough place in motor mount fot a collet.
