When I redid it, I removed the original fittings, drilled it out and JB welded brass tube as new nipples, needed that- the stock fittings were tiny inside. I did not take it apart to see what it looked like internally though.

I had a etti 150 w/ cap bank go up in smoke on me in less than 2 minutes - first and last one I ever owned.

Lol, I'm sure you can! I drove home with the trunk open when this happened, I would rather not trade my new car smell for that one .

Got to cleaning today- HUGE difference! Check out the before and afters. Super Clean to the rescue again- I use it to clean my boat bilge and inside the jet ski hulls as well, works great! I also noticed today how hot it must have gotten in there- check out the boot around my steering linkage . I'm gonna have to really check out the remaining electrics, make sure nothing got hurt from the heat.

I lost a Hydra240 yesterday. First speedo failure in a couple years. No fire. Just gave up the ghost.

That sucks. I have been lucky to not have lost any in quite a while, not even the Chinese cheapies. To lose two in one boat back to back was disappointing, to say the least. Especially over something so simple as no water flow .

I forgot to answer your previous post- no water in the boat, the boat stays extremely dry inside.

                    Respect

I received the following PM from one of the mods Doug Smock, I wanted to share it with everybody in the hopes of clearing the air...

You can't have it both ways. If you want to get along, you need to get along............
What follows is a condensed version of my reply...

                    Doug,
People have been trying to wind my clock and / or bashing on me since I joined this forum, here's proof... http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...t-1500kv-motor - post #9 -- that was in reply to my 2nd / 3rd post on this forum.

How can I get along with people who are constantly try to "wind my clock", bash on, ridicule, denigrate me, etc, etc.

Doug - it is EXCEEDINGLY difficult to stay positive, let alone avoid the temptation to engage in retaliation, pissing matches, tit-for-tat's, which I have gone out of my way to do countless times, when people constantly treat me with such disdain / disrespect.

What comes around goes around! If people want my respect, then they need to do the same to me.

I noticed that you all conveniently ignored the apology / clarification I issued in post #13. Further proof of the legitimacy of my claims / statements.

Respect is one thing you can achieve here but your tact of approaching these forums suck. Change that, and you will have no problems surviving here.

I can't possibly be the only one that likes the smell of burnt electronic mess.

We're always pushing these things to find the absolute ragged edge. That smell...............you found it.

I can almost taste it right now just thinking about it. Residue left in my brain maybe.

That's true for a few members here and they know who they are because I have contacted them.

Knock if off fellas these are toy boats and we're damn tired of being your babysitters. WE have better things to do.

                            Thanks in advance!

It's kind of along the same lines as the smell of fuel....It should't be an attractive smell but you don't mind a whiff once in a while...
