I have not tried to edit any of my video's yet,
I just post what looks good for info and fun.
    The gap looks good,
Also a boat will run a little slower on glass.
The trim tabs up like I said will give you more speed and let the boat run dryer to,
I need to see it running first and than try to trim it out.

I've got another video with pretty much the same results as this last one, except it landed upright so I didn't have to jump in the rescue raft. One thing I did notice is after installing some pool noodles along either side of the boat, she no longer goes bow pointing skyward when she flips. She'll lay perfectly flat(upright or upside down) no matter how much water actually gets in there. I always freaked out when I would see nothing but the first 6 inches of bow sticking out of the water knowing the rest of the boat was vertically underwater.

Ok was that on full throttle and getting left off ?
And does it do that a lot when doing speed runs ?
Where is your stinger or strut set at,
        Ok.
I just looked back at your post and see you said it was + up 1* to 2*
I would try setting it at level and check speeds again,
        And see how it rides.
Than if the speeds come up any and it ridding better, Like staying on the water at full throttle.
I would move the trim tab up 1/2 turn and gps again,
But look out for blow overs before they happen.

Are you sealing the hatch up with tape so no water gets into the hull?
I don't know much about the Spartans but does anyone think the x450 may be too much prop?
You may actually go faster with a little smaller diameter prop.
          Just some thoughts.

            Yes that may help to,
He has a x442 on hand.
I was thinking a m445 but was not sure yet,
I like the three bladed prop for top speeds so far,
And I get less torque roll from them to.

X450 is rather large. I would go with something much smaller, like 45mm tops. At a point, larger props start losing speed if theyre not paired with a larger motor.
I agree Lenny. 3blades are great on v hulls and yield higher top speeds from my findings as well

That blow over and the ALMOST blow over before it were due to hitting my own wake from the previous pass at a rather high rate of speed. In pretty calm water I can keep it running top speed until I run out of room.

I do tape up MOST of the hatch, but it's more a measure to try and keep the hatch ON the boat in the event it flips over. The stupid hatch design isn't flat like the rest of the "normal" boats so it's damn near impossible to seal it up, especially with the two vents it has on the rear of the hatch. Up until recently, when the boat flipped, it would almost immediately submerge with nothing but like the last 8 inches of bow pointing straight up towards the sky. I ended up cutting a pool noodle and sticking two pieces on either side of the battery compartment and now she floats perfectly either right side up or upside down no matter how much water gets in there.

The only reason I'm running the X450 is cuz that's what I was told I would need in order to get the most out of the 1450kv motor(its pretty big compared to stock motor and very torquey).

I did notice that running the 25C batteries I was in the 46-49mph range. With the 45C batteries I was in the 56-59mph range. Maybe the shop that sold me the motor and prop was right when he blamed my batteries for NOT hitting the 70mph he claimed I would? I just hate to spend another $300 on his "good" batteries just to be disappointed and NOT hit 70mph.....I just wish I had access to "good" batteries I could try out on my setup before I spend the $$

                      Yes,
Better cells will give more power and some more speed to.
I would try the strut and down and level and also try the with the x450 and than try the x442,
And see what happens with top end speeds again.

Also on the hatch I would block off the vents with sealer and pool noodles pieces,
And to help seal the hatch use weather stripping on the hatch to like you did on the hull.

This is the pool noodle pieces I have inside the hull already which make a HUUGGEEE difference floatation wise....
                        flotation_foam.jpg

And this is a pic of the rear vents on the underside piece of the hatch that hangs off the rear. There's two of these, one on each side

                          Hey,
Also if you can turn the motor jacket so that the exit nipple is on the very top.
That will give the motor a lot better cooling to.
That way it fills the jacket to the top and than out the nipple.

Here's a tip: never touch a prop when batteries are plugged in.
I used to, and once the radio glitched and blipped full throttle with my fingers there. My thumb was bad, and the nail had 4 clean cuts all the way thru. It hurt and was messy.
Don't be stupid like me... Please...
                                Thanks
