That is correct, within a rpm range that works. Unloaded I would say 22-32 thousand which is 1500-2200kv, for a 4S tunnel. You may want to bump your timing to 10 degrees for the AQ 2030. It also appears you might need a little more positive trim. Go up a little at a time to free the boat up and back down when it gets too nose high. Those HK motors can be good but I feel it's worth a few bucks more to buy quality. AQ is a very good motor. Keep us posted on your results.

Was out for some short runs today. I put my cell in it and clocked it at 50mph. I was a bit disapointed cause i was hoping for 55. However the pond is too small and im using old batteries that are on there way out so With more room and a good battery i think its possible.

Does it do it with every prop or just one particular prop.

just did it with the 447 , it was hooked up on the stock revolt 42x55 prop and had good speed. Im going to try rasing the motor with the 447 thinking the boat was to light in the water . its trial inera

Your boat was trying to tell you something. A 447 will give you some instant gratification but more than a couple passes and it WILL burn your motor and or ESC on a 2030. M445 is the biggest prop you need on a spec motor. It also sounds like your too high vertically already. A large diameter is acting like a paddle pushing the rear left and then the boat hooks to the right. Get the prop down where it can work it's blades. Jacking a nitro motor is a cheap fix for lack of torque which is not an FE issue. We have seen lap times go down as we lower motors. Getting anywhere into the high 40's is an accomplishment with a AQ2030 tunnel. Recreational goes out the window quickly when you get caught up in SAW speeds. Put two bouys 200 feet apart and use a stop watch and you will really improve driving, handling and speed.

I thought a 447 sounded kinda big but i know those ul-1 motors are pretty tough so I wasnt sure. I just finished swapping out my 3659 edf motor for my scorpion. The edf motor is fast as heck but I know its pushing my electrics to the edge. I will try the scorp and see if I can achieve speeds anywhere close to what I was getting. Im a bit of a speed freak but I cant afford to be burning up esc's etc. Would like to test it today but this freakin weather

Okay I had read the lower the motor the higher the boat rides and viza-verza being that the prop is working on the centerline of the shaft. And what is SAW ? makes sense prop turns counter clock which in return does want to push rear too the left .............awwwwwwwww
                    Thanks

Perhaps it was because your motor was high enough that it wasnt putting the full load on the prop. If you lowerd it and tried that prop it may be a very dif story.

Sorry. Straight A Way = SAW
As for too high a prop when the force thrusting forward becomes more sideways as the upper swing or top blade has no water to balance the lower rotation which effectively becomes a paddle left or right depending on the rotational direction.
