Yes originally I was looking at doing the blackjack 55 but after all the great input (thanks everyone!) I really like the fantasm idea. But to keep the wife happy I think I'm going to just do it a single with my 4092 on 6s and down the road I will get another 4092 do some patch work and make it a twin since it seems it will work. It maybe leave it a single and save my money and build a nasty straight line blackjack 55 with like a leopard 5698.Comment

Broke the Daytona hull. So on to the build. Still up in the air might just go ahead and build the blackjack 55 as a twin 4092 and run 5s per motor. It won't be blistering fast or great in the corner but I think with a little work it will be a blast even on rougher water.Comment

Ok so I think I got it and after reading some reveiws on the blackjack it seems y'all are right. Lots of problems with the lack of rigidity in the hull of the blackjack 55. And I am liking the fantasm more and more. On that note is there really $220 dollar diference between the fantasm and the fantasm cf? It seems like a lot of extra money for a little wieght loss.Comment

The CF hull is lighter, but it is a lot thinner than the FG hull. I have a CF hull, and when you hold it up to the light you can see thru the hull. It's that thin, but I have taken a blow over at 70mph. And the hull was fine. It didn't even stress crack my paint.Comment

I really wouldn't build the blackjack 55 dude.
If you're building around a small 4092 motor this shouldn't influence much at all when it comes to the hull as the super daytona is near $500 shipped. Owning one small motor shouldn't really add weight to this decision. Anyway the fantasm is great from what I've heard I have bought 3 FC hulls all of them area great. The regular daytona was too thin imo but they hold up in crashes it seems.Comment

I own one, it wouldn't. It would just look slow. It weighs in at 3430kg people have done lightweight builds with seaking 180escs on 6s but they run 5692 size motors usually. I run 12s1p 5692 730kv and it still looks slow to me lol.Comment

Yea see I'm thinking my motor in a fantasm would be right about perfect for me. Only trouble is the only one fighter cat had available is the carbon fiber, and is seems over priced. If anyone has a carbon fiber or fiberglass fantasm they don't mind getting rid of please let me know ASAP. Like I said before my Daytona is down for the count.Comment
