Relax, the motor is long, and the inner lid doesn't really fit, I have a Leopard 4082, 2200kv in my MG, the way to do this is if you can get a heat gun, try to apply heat to the front of the motor bubble on the lid, when it gets a bit soft, use you fingers to push the front out more, so you will have that little clearance, now, don't apply too much heat or you will warp/damage the lid. Use your common sense when doing it.
Another way is to shorten the motor shaft, Leopard Motor shaft is 20mm long, MUCH longer than stock shaft, part of the reason why everybody feels the need to have rear support is that NOT only the motor can is long, but the long shaft pushes the motor mount to the extreme, part of the motor mount is no longer seated on the wooden platform----unless Proboat has changed the internal set up, on my MG it was very much the case, I did build a rear support for the motor after I crashed the boat and split the joint seam.
Regarding run time, with Leopard 4082/2200kv and m445, I think the only reasonable set up is 4s2p. To use two 4s, 5000mha lipo, I had to struggle a little to shove them in on the stock battery platform, they were knocked loose after the blow-over and I replaced them with my own design which seats lower and gives more room, basically just two strips or wood, longer for more COG adjustment.
I get decent run time ( more than 6 min.) BUT, first time out, do not exceed 2 min., bring her in to check temp. My 7 min. plus run got all my capacitors bulged ( Seaking 180a ESC) , I replaced them and no problem, but really watch out for temp.
