What is the main difference between driving it with low kv on 6s and high kv on 4s ?
Glad that you can cancel your order, I think it is a great idea to run stock first and you will have a much better idea what to do next.
To obtain a similar given RPM, the lower kv on 6s would draw less amp, you avoid heat issues. With said RPM, on 4s with higher kv you need to be careful with prop size.
Run the boat as is with 4S batteries.
Then, when you're ready to go fast, rebuild as follows
New 1/4" stuffing tube
CF inlay
.187 flex shaft
aeromarine 5mm to 187 coupler
CF 4082 motor mount
Leo 4082 1600 (6S) 2200 (4S)
T180 ESC
M445, M545, M645 or equivalent CNC
Set CG at 33% from sponson transom

Can soneone please tell me the approximately runtime with a leo 4082 1600kv on 6s 5000mha (2*3s 5000mha, serial) and with same motor but with 2200kv and 4s 2*5000mha parallel?
4082, 2200kv on 4s2p with Sky Lipo (4s, 40c 5000mha), M445 prop. I got more than 7 min. With more than 35% reserve, this is sport running, I say this because I was not WOT all the time, and the part throttle, on-and-off throttle puts much more strain on the ESC, the ripple current really did a number on the caps. Mind you, after this run I had to replace the caps on my Seaking 180 ESC. I have never run that long continuously but it was the first time I was able to place two 4s to run 4s2p. I paid the price for not bringing her in under the 2-min. mark to check temp. Battery temp was good, 115*F. Motor temp was also ok.
Can't help you with data on 6s set up.
You need to test run first and check temps like in the water,
But I think it is like a air cooled motor with cold temps out side and cool air inside the hull.
So it works like a air cooled engine.
Their are some boats that are setup just right and they can run with no water cooling at all in the water.
The first run is close. Can someone please tell me if the seaking t180 has a soft or a hard LVC? Good to know if I should take the rubber boat with me or not
