Dooh!!! I guess you can sand the tips of the sponsons and fill with a little epoxy to make it P Legal.

If I get a Cheetah, I was thinking 4092/1300kv or maybe 1390kv on 6S for heat racing. Higher voltage= cooler running and less amp draw. Your thoughts Jay?
BTW the SprintCat is 34.5" long, not legal for P without surgery....

Thanks. Jay.
I knew the Sprint cat was a half inch over with the shoebox mounting of the the deck. If the Cheetahs is a splash of the Sprintcat bottom, I figure it was going to be close to 34" with a clam shell deck seam.Mike Chirillo

The Genesis is a much narrower hull than the Cheetah, though I thought the 4074 was comparable to the Neu1515.

Don, can you get me the exact length of the hull? I need to know if it's over 34 inches. I think Carl said its a tad over.
Did you already have a 4082 1600? If so, I think it would work great on 5S.
yes i had 4092-1600
I was going to build a FC Daytona and made a deal for the motor and esc first. Carl told me about the hulls thats why i got the Cheetah, i wanted one that would turn nice.Comment

Yes the Genesis is a narrower hull but it is also 3 inch's longer and heaver then the Cheetah hull. The CC1515 is just a touch bigger than the 4074. All I can say is next summer I will see as I am going to run the CC1515 2200 T-180 on 4-5s batteries with a m445 and will see how it goes.Modified Jae21, Stock Jae21, Cheetah, Ul-1, Shock Wave 26 V2 (Rescue Boat).Comment

Im a bit baffled by this thread.
Castle 1515 is 40mm x 75 lg. Close enough to 4074. It is rated at 120A 25V just like the Leopards. No wattage is given but who cares what it can take- its what hes going to give it. Amps X Volts = power (with no losses). Lets just assume that 120A @ 5s (18.5V) = 2220 watts which converts to dang near 3 HP.
Two motors, same ratings- one higher quality but its not enough?
4092 steps it up quite a bit now though...
Next. Longer hull = more surface in the water/drag. Now the Cheetah is wider, but how much more hull is actually in the water? I would think this comes out in the wash.
But what do I know. Just seems logical in an unlogical world.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment

First, I don't think a Genesis/Daytona has a longer splash than a Cheetah. Second, there is FAR MORE surface area on the bottom of a Cheetah. It is perfectly logical.Comment
