When it come's to clear coat's like the one part clear's like Rust-Oleum Automotive Enamel they are not as hard or shiny as one's like the 2 part in a Can SprayMax witch gives the best result's I have seen from anything out of a Spray Can.

If you decide to try the SprayMax you must use a Mask with a Filter on it as the stuff will attack your lung's.

I always have better luck shaking the can good and then put the can of paint in very hot but not boiling water. (120F+) A couple minutes and reshake fast and have at it :).

Well I tested and used Rust-Oleum over Krylonn and it came out perfect.

IMG_0744.jpg Here it is. It has 2 layers of Krylon. Wanted a better finish so went over it with Rust-Oleum enamel and it's nice and smooth. Will let it sit and relax for a week before final sanding and adding the clear coat.

I use all rustolium spray can paints when i use spray paint and ive used the rustolium automotive clear coat on almost all my boats even the ones that i didnt use rustolium paint on and must say i love that stuff it sprays well and if you clear the hull over your decals and everything let it dry do a light wet sand it gets better but i must say that after one good thick coat for me i think its good unless you screw up then wetsand and spray it again,,, i spray everything outside in the heat and bugs and get great results..

Those look awesome! I'm using the Rustolium, waaaaay better than Krylon. Krylon comes out all rough and you MUST sand it. The Rustolium comes out much much smoother and you almost don't have to sand much to get it nice and even so you save time and money! Thank you all for your experience and advise.

                              So question hydroJerry,

What is the difference between the Rust-Oleum Automotive Enamel and the regular Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel? is this it?> 257884_AU_11oz_AutomotiveEnamel_Gloss_Clear_L.jpg

I was advised to use the Crystal Clear Enamel this> sr_crystalclearSP_L.jpg I presumed the Automotive would be better.

P.S. Mine is a 1990 with only 90,000 miles on it, all raced out lowered etc. and cherry. Everyone wants to buy it but I wont sell it. You just can't beat a Honda, they will run forever if you maintain them correctly.
