I'm looking to spend around $2000.00 to $2500.00 on the compleated boat this sport 40 looks like a great boat but not to crazey about the overall look of the hull was hoping to find somthing with a meaner more dominateing look to it but this might work

I'd check out the build sheet on this boat before getting into it.

If you want a heat racing boat that is capable of 70, thats not a rigger, you're going to have to compromise between looks and performance. I think a Q-Sport Hydro is your best bet also. The Whip Sport 40 is a great boat. But how about a Phil Thomas SS45? It's a fiberglass hull with no gelcoat. It will require allot of finish work. Get a Neu 1527 1y and Castle Ice 240 and you're in business.

                looking for a Painter

I will be building a cat this winter that should be in this same price range and will have size and speed. 60" fighter cat with twin motors a pair of 400 amp speed controls with HOR Racing 5694 800kv motors running on 12s Lipos. I will be adding Kevar though out the boat so strength will be there. I will add foam in the nose as well. I like my boats Green so getting a custom paint job is something I'm looking into. I want a Fire breathing Dragon on this one so if anyone is or knows of someone that can do this type of paint jod please send me a shout. Thanks.

I didn't get a responce, so I don't see how money has anything to do with it.

Well the boots which you mentioned here are looking interesting i personally don't have their experience but i searched and read that the experiences and opinions of racers that have been running that particular rc boot found it hard to handle it in the beginning then there is a great chance of it but when you have some experience then it always a fun....so be careful while driving it in the beginning.
                            Regards

                              @ dana:

I wouldn't say in general that HPR hulls handle bad in corners. It always depends on trimming and setup. Difficult to expect from a 100mph+ boat to corner as an oval boat. But here an older video whats possible which a HPR06:
