Uhm... Not that the 295 isn't a great tunnel, but 70 with it? I could be wrong, but "I don't think so Tim"...

Certainly if someone can prove me wrong I would love to see one hit 70. I've considered the kit version as winter project

Go to the ml boatworks website. They have a vid of it doing an avg of 69 but on some of the passes it exceeds 70.

Although that was only with a p limited motor. You could put something more powerful on the back, but you would be able to be in a racing class.

I hear the 295 has been discontinued and replaced by the ps300

Will the ps300 be any faster than the ps295? I'm going to get one or the other as soon as the electric dedicate REK outboard legs come out.

If you are looking for a cat, I have a twin outboard cat for sale. Dual HOR Racing units should be enough to put it on the moon... Or at least get some pretty high speeds. I honestly have not a clue as to the top speed with those but based on vids i saw with single HOR units i bet it would be very quick. Or you could use twin GTX800s but that would be like putting a 250 horse Merc on a surfboard.

I don't think that was on PSpec power...
we have two in our club one is mine and we are not even close to that speed on a UL-1 motor

You're being very vague??? 70mph??? you want 2 cell 4 cell 6 cell 8 cell 10 cell???? small?N or P26-34" med Q36-40" or ST 40"+? you can do 70 with almost any power system from N-T my N2 hydro is 70mph, so is my p-Hydro and P cat , as well at my QCat and Q hydro and my T cat, my T mono, and My T hydro. but what do you like??? it seems like Cats, right? a small cat at 70 is quite a trip, 34-40" (sprintcat .40 or an M1 supercat) are both capable of 70 so are the lager AC cats and Aeromarine cats but how much do you want to spend? 500? 1000?? 4000? The other thing is anyone can throw cells and prop at a hull and do 70 but most good "tuners" can take a good 60mph boat and with a little prop tweaking and strut and CG adjustments make it a 70mph boat. we can all give you very good starting points but we need a little more info.
                              We call ourselves the "Q"
