Here are some pics of the build I have done so far!

Here are some pics of the build I have done so far! Sorry it has taken so long...

I have the boat almost ready for the test run. Going to run two 2500mah 5S batteries at 45C. Have tw0 125A ESC, with custom made cooling blocks from the 180A Turnigy boat ESC's. Then completely dipped them in Plati-Dip coating, a rubberized coating for tools handles etc.

Water proofed the Receiver with liquid electrical tape brand clear type spray on. Also waterproofed the 5A BEC with the same spray and then wrapped it in self vulcanizing tape.

The motors are Trunigy 500 size helicopter 1600kv outrunners with built in fans on the rear of the can, then I installed water cooling blocks in front of the motor sandwiched to cool the front bearings. I used blue loctite on all of the fastening hardware by the way I have the ESC's programmed to turn clockwise on one motor and counter clockwise on the other. So as to get the counter rotating drive instead of a push to one side while TRYING to turn

Got a nice set of Octura props clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Also the shaft tubes have been filled on each end with Gunslick gun lube which has graphite in the lube for additive. Also placed a set of very light thin aluminum collars, just after the shaft tube end inside the hull, trying to prevent the snapped shaft prop bye bye song...

Using a FS-GT3C radio with upgrades. A tower pro 996 metal gear 13kg high torque steering servo.

I have placed fer-rite ring snap on's on every power cable to a radio device, or anything near the BEC. Also I placed a cell meter in each motor bay window for monitoring voltage and cell condition with out removing the hatch. Also they have very loud twin piezo alarms on each of them for the voltage cutoff along with very right LED flasher light indicators... Saves allot of swimming... from dead batteries

Anyways, enough blabbing... Here are the pics!

OH, the paint scheme when finished is going to be black with the monster energy drink M graphic in green on the top of the front of the boat going down each sponson and the center of the nose, Gonna look sweet!

      Nicely done pal.
Be sure to post some video.
Here's something that should inspire a bit of confidence in the concept.
2 x 380 motors on 3s with home made props, no rudder. Must be using a mixer.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I would just keep a hold of the boat lightly or even let it balance on a say small piece of thin ply wood clamped in a vise or even holding it with your knees with the thin edge of the wood facing up between your knees. Then place the bottom of the boat on the edge of the wood and adjust forward or back, till it balances front to rear on the edge of the board or close to it, then you will know where the balance point is. Just and idea.....
          Thank you much!

I like the design myself, guys have been toying with the design around here for awhile. Basically it's just 2 surface drive systems. If you remember the vintage 80's Parma ski tiger I had, was a brushed surface drive system. I worked good too.....

It was crazy with the fieago 9xl & prather prop on 3s power........

I've got one coming, should be here tomorrow or monday. I'm setting mine up with two Turnigy 3665 2100kv on 4s each with 120amp turnigy ESC's and I found some adjustable stingers that I'm pretty sure will work, I'm just going to have to machine some angled plates to get them mounted on the back side of the sponsons. I'll put up some pics when I get going on it, I can't wait!

Electropilot, if you're still around do you have any pics of your Sober hull battery and ESC placement?
