Tom, that is not the funny part, they should be one of the major costs IMO, as far as quality and design features. We spend too much dough on questionable quality for esc's.

I agree 100%. I await a budget controllers from CC. Maybe I should not hold my hand on my back side to long in the process. Funny is not the term I should have used. Sadly is a beter word.

Can I ask the question why a couple of $1 electical parts put together cost to darn much?

Sorry. But if it makes any difference I am thinking hard about what I can slap one of them into!! The photos show a finned version. Is that what you have or do you have the smooth canned version??

              See, back on topic!!

Neu told me that they only come finned. I also have the longer 2230 version coming.

Ron I thought the first two numbers were the can diameter? For example a 2215 has a diameter of 2.26"

Might have to "roll your own" for cooling Unless the fins are sufficient, which in a sealed FE boat I wonder about. Either way, Neu motor are my New Religion!! I'll figure something out!!

my experience with the 1521 series motors, they dont seem to run hot. I wonder if those BIG motors are the same.
