No Rumdog. I wouldn't but I would be a little more mature about my choice of words. As I stated earlier, I'm not saying these guys don't have issues with Chris. If you take a look at the statements I made in regards to these issues earlier I think you would see that. If those guys could have real issues with Chris why can't some of us have been treated well by him. Notice Rumdog, I never threw insults at you. I know how to read between the lines. I'm not going to imply that the guys who have issues with Chris are liars. Even the guy who started this thread didn't mean for it to end up this way. Thus my statement earlier about maybe we should be talking about FE boats rather than bashing a guy. I don't think that's what Steve had in mind when he started this forum either.

What is it you're missing here? I dont give a crap if he has made some guys happy. The fact that he has stolen from even ONE person makes him an A-hole, and it needs to be known.

I think this thread is way off topic and i guess we could start a new one called "why does Chris F suck So bad and what should we do to him

Kenneth Ablack, Would you please find the quote where I called you a liar? Let's talk about nerve. If you want to quote me that's fine but at least get your facts straight before you accuse me of calling you a liar. Untill you can acomplish that all the insults you can through at me are irrelevant. I can think of a few words I could use in respect to you but I guess that's where you and I differ. Most of us don't have to resord to childish insults to make our point. Most on this thread don't resort to childish insults to make their point. And yes even some who have issues with Chris don't resort to insulting those who have had good experiences with him. Let's stick to facts. Speaking of facts. Where was it again where I called you a liar? I can't seem to find where I called you a liar anywhere in this thread. Lets ask the others on this thread if what you are accusing me of is apropriate. If not having been ripped off by Chris makes me a self centered ideot with a brown nose. Well so be it. Sorry if I can't join you by saying I got ripped off by him. Sorry if I was treated well by him. Sorry if he replaced the defective motor I bought from him. Sorry if he returned my calls. If those facts make me not fit your mold well that's fine by me.

I have been blessed with good service from Chris Fine. Just a month or so ago I bought a Conversion Kit for my Kyosho inferno, minus some parts I didn't want.
He had them in stock, I paid paypal. Took approx 2 weeks to get here, $400 no problems. I even talked to him on the phone before I finalized my order of $400+.

                  All here safe & sound.

I feel sorry for those that have problems in their transactions but, at least with paypal I figured my butt was covered.

                  Just my $ 0.02 worth

Ecoovert I am sorry for posting that you called me a liar. You did not . I am also sorry for the insults. I got carried away with my words and the feelings I get inside every time I remember what Mr. Fine did to me. I just feel very angry that I will never recover my lost funds. Anyway I've made up my mind that it's time to move on. Whats done is done. I hope no other person in the RC community has to go through an experience like that. Happy New Year to all.

Kenneth Ablack, Thanks for taking the high road and looking back to see what I did say. I have a higher oppinion of you now than I did before. Sorry to hear about how you lost your money. I think it's human nature to get upset when someone does us wrong. When responding to comments in threads such as this one I always try to read the comments over 2 or 3 times to make sure I don't misunderstand what the person is saying. Then when I write my reply, if their comments make me angry I try to calm down before I respond. Kenneth, it's embarrassing to say this but I have made a fool of myself a few times before realizing it's always best to cool down before responding. Let me mention, when that sort of thing happens to you it is worth mentioning because it might benefit someone else. I also found that if we hold the high ground in sensitive issues such as this one, those on the opposing side tend to take us more seriously. That comment was meant for all of us. It's not often that my oppinion of a person can change as much as mine has of you Kenneth.

Thanks for helping us to get back on track here. I agree with you, I guess it's time to move on. Happy New Year to you as well.

My 2cents, I live 40mins from fine design. I boought my first boat (in 20 years) from them last year. I bought the Venom P1 King of Shaves electric. They gave me the "online" pricing, hooked me up with the right batteries, and due to his vast knowledge of FE hooked me up with one of the best props I have for that boat that they sharpened and balanced (and I have tested many). While me and my sons were there in the store, we raced 1/32 digital slot cars on their huge daytona track in the basement and had a blast. They gave us extra time on the track for free. They spent a lot of time talking to me about boats, because I was so out of date with everything. My son bought a airsoft(knock-off) pistol machine gun from them for $50. A week later my son cracked one of the pieces in the gun so I went back to the store. He gave me another gun for free, and let me keep the old one. Needless to say I am shocked to see so much bad press about them on the internet. I think I even mentioned it to him, but I don't remember his response. They seem to do nice work, and for having a store in expensive NY, give fair prices for their location. The amount of knowledge that he lets you tap into more than makes up for a few bucks more you pay for stuff. I don't buy everything from them because a trip there costs more in gas than having shipped from OSE, or FC who are also excellent to deal with. They also seem to not have what I want most of the time when I call them. When they ship to me, it cost $5 and gets to my house the next day, when I do order stuff from them. I don't have a problem with them at all.

Kudos to you Steve for not bashing your competition, you are aces in my book.

You know I applaud Chris for the contributions that he has made but there is still no excuse for screwing people out of money with absolutely no remorse or any attempt to right the wrongs .

I haven't spoken to Chris about motors in over ten years and we discussed the Plettenberg 355 series motors but along with his vast amount of knowledge comes a vast amount of bull $hit also . I was told by him they modify the Pletts by shimming up the magnets themselves to modify them . Now I have been dealing with electric motors for close to 35 years and that will net you an increase on a poorly made motor with a lot of air gap between the arm and magnets but Pletts are extremely well made and tight - to top it off the Neodymium magnets are epoxied to the casing and the chances of breaking one is a real possibility - Sure you did....

When I built my 57" Apache and initially went with two banks of 40cell Nimh batteries Chris warned they already tried it and found that the cells went out of balance very quickly - He was 100% bang on correct there - So I bought lipo's as suggested - never looked back either .
Necessity is the mother of invention.............
