The Neu 2215 woud be a little small for this hull.
I'll try to get pics for you but I used speedmaster hardware and an Insane turn fin.

Ok Mark I was thinking the same on the Neu so I will just stick with the 2028, the Neu 2230 is just not in my budget. Any other tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Run the 2028. Don't worry about a little extra weight. Weight can be your friend on big hydros to keep 'em planted on the water.

I have one extra Fightercat 75v-200amp ESC I could part with Ray. I bought 4, fried 1(forgot hatch tape...doh) and had to dig in the backup bin. I used it once for testing the FC1180's in the second 37" CF cat I bought. I could use some cash right now or if you want to trade off on some 4s lipo's (if you have any, I need some!). I had some 6s 40c 5000Mah's but I'm pretty sure they are sold (payment pending from tman) and they were to big for the 37"CF cat. I could meet you at the pond sometime in the next few weeks. Hopefully we get a few more nice days before the weather turns on us up here!

JJ the only 4s packs I have right now are Gens Ace 4s5000 40c hard packs and some 4s5000 25c Hyperion G3 packs. Hit me up on WNY and let me know what you want for the ESC.

The Whiplash is the boat to beat as a gas sport hydro. Tyler's (RaceMechanicX) Quickdraw powered boat can beat the best while running in lane 5. You don't need to put the motor in a taped down compartment. Motors stand water well. Extra cooling from an open installation helps cool the motor allowing outrunners as well as water cooled inrunners. I've done several nitro conversions with the electronics and batteries in sealed boxes added to the boat. That way the batteries (the box you need to tape frequently) can have their own area positioned to balance the boat. The other electronics can be positioned where there's room and taped up for the day.
