Sorry guy's, funny you post on this thread today as I finished my df35 project apart from the selling and while I was chatting to the clubs promo team I told them I have a 42" cat with twins that I need to finish and asked if my luck would come again another day for the team to maybe sign this one too, they said it shouldn't be a problem, so, guess what colors and theme I'm going with?? This hull may need the assistance from monojeff as the back "dead area" behind the cockpit would be perfect for the full team player list in a couple of nice colums and enough room for the signatures to be under each name, If we kept them all on the hatch I could then buy a spare unsigned hatch and still drive it if I wished, this one won't be given away, it's been a long ordeal for me with this cat and I've lost love for it but I'm sure my little change of heart will get her done pretty quickly now. I'll get into it after a week off, I haven't goon to bed before 2.30am for I can't remember how long and my missus keeps waking me at the stupid time of 8am and keeps ranting something about "real work", I might just do some for a few weeks.

Cool! I like the setup with middle mounted motors instead of the sponsons. I run that configuration too and do not experience any difference in handling. It runs like a %ยค"%" just like it should :) (mine is with twin 3674's 2800kv on 3s2p and TJM 40/3 props. It did ~55 mph on the first run without any trimming or fiddleing)my youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/user/chris81983?feature=mheeComment

I talked to a few big cat builders about a twin cat I am building 1717's as well and they all said the same thing the best location for strut distance apart is 4.5 inches apart from one pro shaft to another pro shaft don't know how true it is buti am trying itThanks chris g
Props in the middle really should benefit from working in "untouched" water.
Here's mine on its maiden voyage:
