    r2hobbies outrigger

As this is a new model of 3 points made in plywood and fully assembled. Includes rudder, flex shaft, prop and buttress. It also has mounted the engine mount and the steering servo.
Simply mount the electronics and run.

This boat is perfect for those who do not know how to work with wood and non-trotters, in this case given everything an affordable price, 65 €.

The dimensions of this boat is huge and comes ready to work with lipo 4s-6s (in configuration 2s +4 s)

    Specification:
    Length: 31.6 "/ 805mm
    Width: 565mm
    Height: 70mm
    Material: Coated Ultra-Strong Wood
    Net Weight: 1102g
    Gross Weight: 1500g

When you open the box and take it in the hands of a mounting feeling is perfect for cutting wood parts in the assembly of these parts.
The wooden parts are of a hard plywood and the boat comes fully painted.

After mounting the shoes have gone to electronic weighing and no gives a weight of 835gms, so we would be in running order in a 1500gms

Photo by checking the weight mounted ready to run 1898gms

Let's move to set up the electronics, in this case we use a brushless motor and 4S 2500kv 540L of lipo of 5000 milliamps, with 30C Turnigy 150A Etti drive and leave the prop that comes standard with the boat that is 38mm in diameter with step 1.4.

We will test it next week once it's mounted all the electronics and record a video

In the 1 st Test all to think it would be a success since the launch started very well but I had a mishap with the PTO and had no spare so we'll have to wait for another test, but the feelings were of vertigo.

    He loosened his driveshaft.

2500kv motor and driven by 4s lipo 5000miliamperios have broken the prop, the next test we will put a metal propeller.

Very happy with the purchase, the boat is fast, stable, cheap and very well made, perfect stop those who want to start and sensations.

there are a few small problems with this boat that i came across

    1. the inside of the hull is not sealed at all but easily remedied
    2. I moved the water outlet valve to a position behind the motor
    3. had to remove the bulkheads along the hull so decent hardware fitted
    4. prop that comes with the hull is a waste of space as it is for a 5mm shaft and a 4mm shaft is what is on the boat
    5. No turn Fin
    6. thrust bearing is required
    7. the main problem is that some joins in the hull are not that well joined but a wash around the inside with a little resin from the 1st problem fixes all of that
    8. not enough room between the sponson tubes to get a good battery into.

    Hardware I put in
    Feiago 540S 5070KV
    Turnigy 180A ESC
    flightmax 7.4 5000mah 40C battery
small lick of paint to make it stand out

And she goes like a rocket

But on the upside I need a bigger lake
My budget on boats depends on how much money the wife dosent know i have

here are a few pics of the hull to show the mods i made

the battery sits just in front of the ESC

overall picture shows the bulkheads removed in the centre hull and the the position of the water outlet, turn fin and the rest of the stuff i have done. the other thing i didn't mention what i did was to get lots of pool noodle slivers and stuff them into the sponsons as i had to take the back of the sponsons off to put the turn fin on and that was when i found out the gluing was very poor.

The ESC i have in here Turnigy180 Amp ony just fits in as can be seen here but works like a charm

the plastic prop on the right is what is supplied with the boat with a crap 5mm shaft hole, the prop on the left 35mm is the one i will be putting in the boat on the next run and i also have a 1732 octura prop i would like to try out but i think it may be a tad small

and a video will be out shortly as soon as i can find a suitable lake

What setup are you using to get 90mph out of it?
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

What size and brand of motor? I can't see through an aluminum cooling can!

That looks like a Leopard motor under the water cooler. What prop were you using to get over 140kph on 4s. Thanks.

Hmm when I run the math on your numbers I come up with about 65mph.
                    Using a 2700kv motor and 4s. 38mm prop 1.4 pitch.
You would have to turn a 648 to get about 90mph.
                    Thats 38880 rpm with a 648 prop!
