I'm pretty sure the leopard 36x50 is the same as the ammo 2300kv becuase they are the same length, diameter and kv. So hopefully the leopard will get my boat to around 50mph with the x637prop on 4sell. And make sure it doesn't heat up too much! Let me know what you guys think about this setup.
    Thanks
    Matt

I originally sold the boat to this Matt. And I still seem to get a thousand and one questions. So now I may as well educate myself so I can explain it! What size prop would you recommend as a starting point for a leopard 36x50 2290kv 4 pole on 4s of course? Also preferably something that the motor could handle for around 15minutes or more use without a breather. Also does anyone know of a place that stocks the leopard motors, offshore itself only has the bigger leopards and ebay only has the 36x50s in 2900 and 3300 kvs. And finally can you explain the princliple of prop work, or point me towards a thread that will. Is it basically the prop will force the boat to lean to one side, and thus steer the boat to that same side? Is there any way to counter it, besides having a counter rotating twin prop set up.

Matt it is NOT 4cell it is NOT 4sell IT IS 4s !

Thanks for your help guys, and I apologies for the million and one Qs from Matt

        Cheers
        Kieren

What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis? Screwed...

15 minutes is a long time depending how fast you want to go and paralleling cells is a must 25 mph for 15 minutes is possible, but 40 mph would take alot of mah and high efficent motors and very good batterys

Would the leopard 3660 2050 be a better choice for cool running? Obviously it will be slower, but it might help temps also? Also would a x438 still be a good place to start with that too?

If "it" means the boat, it wont be slower..................a 3660 can turn alot more prop than a 3650................prop it up with an x442 and it will be faster then the 3650.
