That looks fast. How many amps does it draw. I have a black esc w/ red writing on it. Will it be strong enough?

As long as you keep the fluids topped up.

Lowes, isle 7, bottom left about half way down

Yup, I think we are all a little "twisted"

Keep your blinker fluid topped off too, thats good for a couple mph and a bit more pitch.

                        2.81 (C.O.B) pitch
                        45.67mm diameter
                        That's a Trailing Edge cup of 95.25mm (3.75") and a Center of Blade pitch of 71.4mm (2.81").
The H-5 is a 45mm x 68mm, so the prop is pitched up and has a lot of additional cup....BTW, that's a good hydro prop with lots of lift...

You guys are mean. Jamin ignore the numbers, they are just there to confuse folks like you and i, i am pretty sure they are just production number and runs before the prop flies apart.

Jamin, I will explain in detail how to chage pitch on a prop, its easy to do and all you need are a pair pliars and a set of vice grips and a bench vise preferably. If its a plastic of carbon prop its even easier, simply use a lighter or butane torch and pliars.

What you will need. Thin leather or thin cardboard to protect the prop blade while bending.

For plastic props as you look at it from the side you want the curved end more forward for more pitch and more back torward the angled back side to decrease the pitch, using a torch or lighter (you will need gloves) slowly heat the prop end you wish to bend, remember not to let the flame come in contact with the prop as it may catch fire, not an issue as you can easily reshape it if you mess up. Make sure to eyeball the prop and bend them both to roughly the same angle, let cool and your done, sand any carbon or pliar marks off.

For metal props. If it is made of aluminum as some are you want to bend without any heat, use some cardboard to protect the metal blade and eyball about where you want to bend, using a vise is preferable along with some strong vise grips. firmly set the prop and grab the blade end with the vise grip, aluminum alloy is like putty so its easy to bend, give a decent yank in the direction you want and then take a torch till the aluminum just starts to smoke and then let it cool. If it gets white powder on it from the heat thats fine, it simply means you have hit molecular viscosity for that particular piece.

For stainless steel and brass or beryl its the same procedure, but let these type props get to cherry red and then quench quickly, using icewater. you want them to cool as fast as possible. again sand any teeth marks away with 1600 or 1800grit finishing sandpaper that the visegrip jaws leave behind, sand completely smooth, may take a few hours. *****Warning wear a mask that protects you from metal vapors, as these can be toxic!!!

These procedures take time to master and after its all over and done you may just feel you learned something.

                          Safety message:

Best to do these procedures outdoors on a workbench or in a ventilated shop so vapors dont get to you....And remember, safety goggles and gloves, have a fire extinguisher handy, ice and water on hand. If your under age 18 have adult supervision. safety first.

                                Hi guys

One serious question to clear things in my mind

Does more pitch in a prop add more load on the motor (and vice versa)?

                                Thanks

                                JC
