    MHZ Mystic C5000 M Setup

Hey guys! I'm thinking of buying the Mystic C5000 M Hull (from MHZ in Germany, not the US). I'll get it with the rudder, twin drives, carbon kit, and geico decals.

    It is the 114cm version.

I would like to know what setup would be appropriate for this boat. Since it's an "A" boat, I'd like to know the best and most reliable setup. I heard that Lehner motors and Schulze ESC's are the best, but which in particular should I get?

That sounds fast enough to me, haha. I'm not looking to go any specific speed, but I don't want to go slow either.

And as Dino said, can you give me more specifics please?

              Thanks for those setups.

Arrow, how are you liking the quality of the carbon/kevlar hull? I want to get it and then put the Miss Geico decals on it, without having to paint it. Post some pics!

I was thinking of the Neu or Lehner motors. And Castle or Schulze ESC's. Thanks for those suggestions. So I can assume that I'll be running 6s each side.

You clearly want top-end components, good for you. I get tired of reading recommendations of $100 motors and $150 ESCs for everything....

6S or 8S per side would give you plenty of speed and run time with a relatively mild setup. For 6S a couple of Neu 1527/1Y motors and Castle 180HV Hydras should work well. The larger Schulze 32-170 should work with the above motor too.

The biggest problem with these large twin cats is finding appropriate props (left and right hand rotation). With the above setup you can use the plastic Graupner props to find out what you need without breaking the bank. Then you can look for a pair of metal props....or not. For example a pair of Graupner K57 props would give speeds around 100 kph with decent temps and run times. Smaller props, less speed and more run time. Jens' recommendation above is more agressive but shuold work too.

Tell us your goals and we can give more specific recommendations.

Yeah I wanna make this boat top-notch, since it's a great quality boat. I don't wanna get annoyed and switch out the components later on.

I'd probably get the Turnigy 6s 45-90C 5000mah lipos. Are those good to use in this setup? I don't know if the Hyperions are really worth the extra cash. Of course, if they are I'll buy them, but if the Turnigy's will work great then why not.

I was just looking at the Hydra 240 HV, will the 180 HV work just as well?

I'm not sure about these motors. 1515, 1521, 1527. What's the difference with all these? Prices seem to be about the same. Which would be the BEST out of all of those motors? Why not one of the 2215's?

I guess I'll use those K props to find the best setup. The X447's seem to be what a lot of people are using.

I don't have any specific goals in mind, I just want an awesome boat. But, the faster the better

I think I've seen all the YouTube videos of the MHZ and HPR cats, haha. The one in the link appears to be the larger one though, or does it just seem to be?

no, it does not appear bigger, it is bigger. That´s the mystic of my friend Jens Seidel.
1,85m MHZ Mystic. using 3060 LMT motors und jeti spin 200 esc and 10s5p at the beginning.

to be honest, i wouldn´t use the 1527. They have so much torque, you will get some problems with the flex cables. One of my friends tried these motors in the mystic and had a lot of broken flex cables.
the 1521 are realy goog for that boot. 8s lipos would be too much weight.
take the 1521 an 6s if you take the 1,5d with 1900 u/volt or take the 1521 1,0d and use 4s and for the realy realy fast setup 5s lipos.

                            here are some pictures
