    That's a bummer, I have a T180 that I wanted to run on 6S with a 1300Kv outrunner... Now I'm not so sure anymore...

What would be a good setup for a 31" cat on 6S anyway?

I tried the turnigy 120A on 6s, after 3-4 mins stopped. nothing is burnt but motor won't spin. motor is ok, so esc is dead. The funny thing is that I can still program it but when I conect it no beeps at all

I tried the 180A on 6s, 10 times until now and no problems

        http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...-race-150-opto

on 6s? also what feigao motor? want to run six cells but don't no which would be the most reliable? also with or without the cap board?

        thx guys.

do you think a phoenix ice 160hv or 200 would handle 6s better?

I would get the extra caps for the Etti 150 opto, mine bulged on 4s2p. I would run a low kv motor if you do run 6s
          24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

I have ran a Castle 240LV on 6s with Neu 1527 1.5d and an x450 prop with my Whiplash 40 for short runs. so far it has held up but its only a matter of time before it smokes but I am gonna see how much prop it will take before it does. Most of the time it is on 5s2p 45c Hyperion 8400mah swinging an X457 prop.

Need some more info like what size hull is this going into. What are you looking for sport runs or all out speed saw style runs?

i am going to be running it in my miss geico. just looking for sport runs is basically it around the pond, not competing. just want to get it back to the 50's. last time i over drove the castle 1512 1.5 y on six cells and smoked the motor and esc a turnigy 180 on a octura x642.

don't want to smoke another esc if i don't have to...lol.

Stock motor will handle 6s. Drop a 80amp HV in their with the stock motor http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-seaking-80a-hv.html. You pushed the limits of the esc and the motor which maybe a reason u smoked your last setup up. The cc are recommended by OSE at 4s and the t180 are better at 5s and below.

thx diesel ordered the esc for the stock motor. do you think a 90 or 120a esc is enough to run the cc on 4s?

More is better. The castle motor Chart says a max of 80 amps but prop selection and motor under load can change that. So I would say a 120 should be fine. I run a a seaking 120 on a leopard 4074 1774kv on a cf48 and runs nice and cool so the 120 should work. To be honest for only a few dollars more than the swordfish 120s you can get a swordfish 200amp which would be the best bang for the buck. JMO of course.

That's a 5s + esc. So you won't be able to run 4s on that esc, plus it's cutting it kinda close.
