    6S ESCs

    Guys,
I see a lot of you talking about running or running 6s in your boats...
my question simply is, what ESC have you been using with success...
now mind you that I don't wanna start another thread that is either pro
or against Chinese electronics, I just want to know what has been
working in your 6s setup reliably... BTW, one ESC per run is not the kind
of reliable I am looking for, lol.
please post batteries, prop size, hull or actual data, so we all have a better understanding
    of what is being pushed.

I run Turnigy and Ettis on 6S. I do not own a T-180, but I hear nothing but good. Especially for the price.

Turnigy 120s, twin HOTR build, 10XLs 442 props Turnigy and Flightmax 5000mah 30 and 40C Pulling about 90A per side (lost count on how many runs)

Etti 150 opto, Genesis, 4074 1400KV Leopard motor, 442, pulls about 100A, fairly new set up w/ 6 or 7 runs. Same batts as above

Etti 150, 32" cat, 10XL, cant remember what prop I used to run on it (its now a 9Xl 4S boat) again same batts. Probably a dozen and a half runs on it before I changed the set up.

All set ups were w/ the bec disconnected and a UBEC installed.

I have had bad experience with the t 180 on 6s. I'll elaborate a bit later. I wish there were more mid range esc options. It sucks having to buy a hv esc for just 6s.

                  Castle MMM, Nue1515 1.5y (1500kv), Hyperion 4200 6s1p, Octura m440, Phil Thomas SS 21 hull

System will take more prop. Larger capacity 3s lipos for longer runtime.

I just realized that you may not need one with huge amperage..........

I think the Turnigy 120a is the best bang for the buck out there at $49..........i own several of them.............easy to use, can program with the TX and they are solid workhorses.....2-6s

                    I use them with 540XL's (4s and 6s) and a Neu 1515 1.5y on 6s....................

INteresting that you guys have been using them on their V limits... I'd think that they would burn up or something, but according to you guys (so far) one can use the Chi ESCs on their rated Voltage... that surprised me.

                          Temps ESC/Motor below 45C, lipo's below 60C, about 5-6 minutes runtime.
Used about 25 sets of lipo's with this setup and all parts still working!
