I have an apparition coming and have options 5 boats 6 esc 7 motors

ok now for the hard work i have some down time from work so i want to pull apart all my current setups and re setup all boats to optimum performance. so i am asking for the best recommended setup for any and all boats. i have all kinds of props and am willing to purchase more. if any of you have any suggestions i would appriciate you input

What size is the 1820, is it the 60mm Aveox? Getting the App into the mid 40s is easy. Its a great handling easy to power hull. A 75mm (xl) typ motor is generally used in these. I believe the 8XL on 4S is real close to 50.

Maybe try that, w/ the Swordfish 120. Youll probably pull about 100A? May get you in the mid 40s? Im running a Feigao 9Xl in a similar 32" cat, its built tough and is kinda on the heavy side, it runs 44mph on 4S using an Octura x442. 51mph If I rmember correctly on 5S

Actually, I just read a bit better. Throw the Etti in it. Only cause thats whats in my 32" cat. 120 may not be enough breathing room.

my friend amo123 has 8xl swordfish 120 of 4s and gps at 38mph on x642 and i cnan go out like that what kk is the 9xl and what about cc 1515 will it fit?

Somethings not right there. Ther are quite a few folks on here w/ App/ HOTR hulls w/ 8Xls running mid 40s. Possibly a strut adjustment, or try a diff prop. My 32" cat runs better on a 442 than a 642. If I remember correctly, its a few mph better. A 9XL is lower KV and My cats mid/ low 40s, depending on prop.

9Xl is 1850 KV... Off the top of my head... Its right around there.

Turnigy aquastar 120a esc
prop 40mm X 1.4.
on 4s it runs a sold 43mph and cool
on 6s I hit 56mph but things were getting hot

One thing I have noticed though is that is seems significantly slower with the aquastar esc the speeds above were recorded with a turnigy 180a esc.

Try adjusting the timing, The T-180 default timinig is 15 deg, but the aquastar may need adjusted, it comes with auto I think as default. Don't use auto manually select the timing. JMO
