Welcome to OSE, and I'm sure we can help you figure this out.

What size motor is it, 380 size (28mm) or 540 size (36mm)? Is the boat getting on plane? Did you try 4s? or 2 2s in series?

I would run 4s in that set-up. I run a h&m no step (vid in my signature) it is just a few inches smaller then yours at 23" and it runs fast on ul-1 power with 4s. I think you need more juice.

No way to much RPM on 6s. Try 1 4s pack 5000mah 30 or 40c should run nice. Or 2 4s packs in parallel or 2 2s pack in series. Stay away from the 6s packs. 6s may damage the motor if it hasnt already, that' over 50,000 unload rpms.

Okay, you have to understand what we mean by parallel and series.
Series is wiring two packs together connecting the positive wire of one pack with the negative wire of the other.
Parallel is wiring two packs together connecting the positive wires of each pack together and the negative wires of each pack together.

              Each cell is 3.7 volts.
Two cells in series is 2S and has 7.4 volts.
Two 2S packs in parallel is 2S2P and has 7.4 volts.
Four cells in series is 4S with 14.8 volts.
              Etc.

Putting packs in parallel does not increase speed, putting them in series does. Three 2S packs in parallel (2S3P) will have the same speed as one 2S pack. If you put two 2S packs in series you will have 14.8 volts and a lot more speed than your 2S setup.

I think the overall problem you are having and I may be wrong is power issues. Not enough Juice. Their are guys here that run those akku packs here is a thread.. I use turnigy and zippy packs from www.hobbycity.com they are not the best but work for what I need them for. If you really want to see what your boat can do get some hyperion g3's or some thunderpower packs.

Where in the UK do you live, I trust it is not in Scotland, as my intelligence will come into question.

Yes, that battery will work, but that is a cheap price.

Gotta start somewhere. I hope you are having fun with the hobby! Do some reading on this site to help set-up your boat up to run great. They also are called Delta force 26 clones or copy, so do a search on df 26's are the information provided can be applied to your hull. Happy boating!

Gotta do something with the prop. Those speeds in MPH and what are you using to tell the speed?

To be honest thats pretty darn slow! My 12" boat does over 21 MPH.

Look for the Prince vids. Most of the setup info is listed on each video. I havent had the Eagle Tree GPS in it yet, but I would venture to guess mid 30's. I got a new motor for it and Im currently reworking the setup with new motor mount and such.
